It was finally the day.

The fashion show was tonight. Marinette would usually be full of nerves and wouldn't be able to focus on anything but the event - except she isn't nervous. She's excited.

This might have something to do with the fact that she and Adrien had a nice dinner date the other night. She was honestly worried about their first date being this grand thing that she was actually more grateful for Ruben's teasing. A casual date was more relaxing and took out any sort of pressure either she or Adrien felt. They did have some awkward moments between them since they were now conscious of the fact that they were on a date, but it was nothing to agonize over. Those moments actually warm Marinette's heart because she knows Adrien was feeling the exact same way as she was.

"Marinette, mind making this one delivery?" Sabine walked into the bakery kitchen with three large boxes. Marinette was in the middle of helping her dad with getting all of the pastries ready to be taken to the show's venue.

"Sure." Marinette quickly took off her apron and grabbed the boxes from her mother's hold. She took a glance at the sticky note that was stuck on the top with a single address written on it. There was something familiar about it.

"Be sure to get back in time so you can say hi to your Uncle Wang." Sabine patted her shoulder. "Remember this is Uncle Wu and Fei's first time in Paris so -"

"I'll make sure to show Fei around," she called out as she left the bakery.

Midway through her bike ride, Marinette realized why the address was so familiar. She recognized the route from that time she had gone to Tikki's apartment. It wasn't a happy memory but she did find some comfort in the older woman's advice, so it wasn't a complete surprise when Marinette realized that the address was actually Tikki's apartment.

"I had a feeling you were gonna show up." Trixx grinned when they opened up the door. They were in the middle of styling their hair in a half-up and half-down hairdo. "Go on and set those boxes in the kitchen while I grab my wallet."

Marinette didn't even have the chance to utter a single greeting before Trixx disappeared inside. She shuffled awkwardly inside, heading straight to do what she was told. The apartment was in a messier state than when she was last here. Clothes and shoes were scattered around and there were a couple of Chinese takeout boxes covering the dining table.

"Pollen! Have you seen my wallet?" Trixx reappeared from the hallway and continued their search, throwing the pieces of clothes aside. "And pick up all these outfits of yours!"

"Uhhh I don't know. Have you checked the sofa?"

Marinette noted that this Pollen person completely ignored the second half of what Trixx said. Trixx didn't care for it, too busy going through the seat cushions of the sofa.

"You guys seem busy." Marinette glanced down the hallway where she saw a yellow glittering dress be thrown out of a room.

"Pollen and I have to crash a wedding reception in about an hour before the fashion show tonight." Trixx moved to search the armchair. "Aha!"

They pulled out a folded wallet from underneath the chair. Marinette was still confused about why they were going to crash a wedding but thought better than to ask for details.

"You're going to be at the fashion show?" Marinette took the cash Trixx handed to her.

"Yup, but it's more for a work thing than fun. I heard you're participating in the contest." Trixx grinned. "You nervous?"

"Kinda but not really. All my friends are gonna be there so that's comforting." Marinette began heading out the door with Trixx following.

"I'm sure it's gonna be fun." They took a moment to look outside, eyes slightly wide with a hint of fear for a quick moment before relaxing again and leaning on the doorframe. "Do me a favor, though, if you see Tikki on your way out, don't tell her that you dropped off the pastries here. I found her personal sweet-stash last night and I have to fill it back up before she finds out."
