Thomas: He's not answering me.
Mia: And it's not like we can get Emily's phone.
Ace: No she broke it.

After about 30 minutes to an hour, a doctor walks out.

⚠️Talk of suicide ⚠️

Thomas: How is she?
Doctor: Well we got the bleeding under control. She's stitched up. We have to keep her for observation.
Thomas: Why?
Doctor: Seems as though it was an act of suicide.
Mia: She pushed over her dresser out of anger and in the process broke the mirror that she tried to catch.
Doctor: I still have to keep her here for observation.
Jackson: That's bullshit.
Doctor: It's protocol. I'm sorry.
Thomas: Jackson take a walk.
Jackson: Fine.

Jackson leaves pissed and Jacob follows him

Thomas: Thank you. You are just doing your job.
Doctor: One of you may see her.
Mia: Thomas you should go.
Bryce: Yeah you should.
Thomas: Okay. Lead the way.

The doctor leads Thomas to Emily's room and she opens her arms for Thomas. Thomas walks over to her and hugs her. The doctor leaves.

Emily: When can I leave?
Thomas: Em honey they aren't discharging you.
Emily: What! No!

Thomas hugs Emily even tighter as she starts crying

Thomas: Em they think it was a suicide attempt.
Emily: No no no. You told them it wasn't right?
Thomas: Yes and he still said it was protocol.
Emily: I don't want to stay by myself.
Thomas: I'll talk to the doctor.

Thomas leaves the room and finds the doctor.

Doctor: Yes?
Thomas: Is there any way we can get someone to start here with her? She has nightmares if she's alone.
Doctor: Nightmares?
Thomas: The girl that was on the news because she was missing? Emily holder?
Doctor: Oh yes. I will let someone stay. I'm so sorry for what happened to her.
Thomas: Thank you.

Thomas walks back into the room.

Thomas: one person can stay with you.

A few seconds later the doctor lets everyone in the room. Jacob rushes to Emily's side.

Jacob: Are you okay?
Emily: I'm okay.
Thomas: One person can stay here with her.
Doctor: I suppose 2 can stay.
Emily: Thank you.
Doctor: You're welcome.

The doctor leaves and Thomas pulls Mia to his chest and hugs her.

Mia: You scared us shit less.
Emily: I'm sorry.
Ace: All that matters is that you are okay.
Jackson: Yes that's all that matters.
Kristian: I'll bring your unicorn in the morning.
Emily: Okay. Thank you.
Bryce: I'll bring your blanket.
Emily: The fluffy one.
Bryce: Okay.

They all stay with Emily until visiting hours are over and Jacob and Jackson stay.

Ace: You guys never really stay with her.
Emily: No you guys don't.

They leave and the nurse brings in things for the 2 boys and checks Emily's bandages and leaves.

Jacob: You doing okay?
Emily: Yeah.

They all fall asleep watching a movie. The next day Thomas and Bryce come by early in the morning.

Bryce hands Jackson and Jacob a bag of clothes. Thomas hands Emily her unicorn.

Thomas: Hopefully you can go home today.
Emily: Me too.
