Pt.59

By the time they clean up everyone is soaked and tired. Emily stays outside to put the buckets away when Ace stays too.

They ate dinner before the gas station.

Emily: Hug me. I know you want to.

Emily opens her arms and Ace runs into them.

Ace: I don't want you leaving.
Emily: I know. You've been holding it together all day.
Ace: I'm one call away.
Emily: I know. I don't even know if I want to go.
Ace: If that guy tries anything Kristian, Jackson, and I are on our way.
Emily: I know.

They stop hugging and start walking to the shed to put the buckets up.

Ace: So who s this Jayden dude?
Emily: He's a funny guy. I just hope he doesn't think that being my favorite out of all of them is me liking him. I don't want him getting the wrong idea.
Ace: I would say take Jackson and make out with him before he leaves in front of them.
Emily: I already have.

They start walking up to the house.

Ace: I know this isn't my place but has your feelings gone away for any of us? I'm just wondering after what happened this morning.

Emily stands there shocked and taken back. She opens her mouth but nothing comes out.

Emily: I don't know what to say.
Ace: Say the truth.
Emily: I honestly don't know.
Ace: Do you still like us?
Emily: I don't know. I haven't had anybody to think about besides Jackson for like a whole week.
Ace: Well your body language says something different. It does with everyone.

Ace walks up the porch and inside. Emily stays standing where she is and crotches down and puts her hands on her head.

About 5 minutes later Kristian walks outside with a towel and walks over to Emily. He kneels beside her and wraps her in a towel.

Kristian: Em.
Emily: I don't know what to do anymore.
Kristian: Em what happened? Ace isn't talking.
Emily: I don't even know.
Kristian: Did he finally break?
Emily: Yeah but he practically accused me of liking everyone still.
Kristian: It's not our business to know that.
Emily: I just need some time alone.
Kristian: Not happening.

Kristian sits next to Emily and Emily lays her head on Kristian's shoulder.

Kristian: Do you even want to go?
Emily: Yes and No.
Kristian: Like Mia said this morning. Tayler isn't gonna get mad because you didn't want to go.
Emily: I know.
Kristian: Go change before you get sick.
Emily: Okay.

Emily hugs Kristian before getting up and going inside. When she opens the door Jackson is right there and she hugs him.

Jackson: I was about to come to get you.
Emily: Ace wanted to talk and Kristian wanted another hug.
Jackson: Okay well let's take a shower.
Emily: Read my mind.

They go upstairs and shower. While Emily is looking for clothes Jackson hugs her from behind and kisses her neck.

Emily: Don't leave a lot.
Jackson: Oh I will. Just not visible.

You know where that's headed. They have an exciting night and they both fall asleep holding onto each other until Emily's alarms wake them up at 5:30.

Jackson: Nooo.
Emily: I have to get up.
Jackson: A couple more minutes.

Emily cuddles back up to Jackson for about 10 minutes before she gets up and puts on one of his hoodies over her spandex. Jackson eventually gets up and gets dressed.

When they walk down the stairs with Emily's luggage everyone is up and waiting downstairs.

Emily: You guys didn't have to.
Thomas: We are all taking you to the airport.
Kristian: You thought we were gonna sleep while you wait at the airport.
Bryce: Don't say a word and let's all get in the car. Your plane boards in an hour.

They all start driving to the airport but stop and get to Starbucks.

Once they are at the airport they all wait inside with Emily. 30 minutes until Emily boards when Nick shows up. Emily runs to him and hugs him. Nick lifts her off the ground in a tight hug and sets her back down.

Emily: You came.
Nick: Of course.

They walk over to the others.

Nick: Tayler.
Tayler: Nick.
Nick: Take care of her.
Tayler: Always.
Emily: who's Curly head back there?
Tayler: Oh that's Chreesh.

Chreesh walks over and shakes hands with Emily.

Emily: Is Chreesh a nickname or...
Chreesh: Nickname. Tayler said you may not like my real name.
Emily: I already have a guess.
Chreesh: Jayden and Kayden want to film Tiktoks. It was nice meeting you, ma'am.
Emily: Nice meeting you too.

Chreesh walks away and everyone stands up.

Emily: No.
Mia: Baby it has to be done.

Mia and Paige walk over and hug her then Jacob. Bryce and Kristian take their time hugging Emily. Ace hugs Emily next and says he's sorry. Jackson then hugs Emily and kisses her cheek in secret.

Thomas then walks over to Emily and Emily gives him a bear hug. She starts crying and holding on tighter.

Thomas: You call or give a text I will come and get you.
Emily: I know you will. I will miss you guys.
Tayler: You'll be back before you know it.
Emily: Yeah...

Kristian grabs a bag and hands it to Thomas which he grabs and hands to Emily.

Thomas: It's a backpack filled with some of Bryce's squish mellows, Kristian and I's hoodies. Ace's shirt you love to steal and Jackson's cologne and chain.
Mia: Paige and I helped put it together. We put our favorite snacks and drinks.
Paige: They told me how you get homesick very easily.
Emily: Thank you, guys!

They all get in one big hug and Nick gives Emily one last hug before getting on his plane for business.

Tyler: Tayler its almost time. Em.
Emily: Be right there.

Emily grabs the backpack and her luggage and they start walking. Emily turns back and waves. Everyone else waves and Emily and Tayler start walking again.

Tayler: I have my private plane again.
Emily: Okay.

Tayler stops Emily and wipes her tears. He links arms with her and smiles at her and she returns it.

Once they are on the plane everyone gets in their seats.

Tyler: You stole my seat.
Emily: Get over it. He was my brother before he was your best friend.
Tyler: Yeah but he isn't your real brother.
Emily: I've spent my whole life with him. Fuck off and sit across from him!
Jayden: Damn.
Tayler: Em just take a breather.
Emily: I'm sorry.

Emily stands up and takes her backpack with her to the bathroom. Tayler stands up to go after her but sits back down.

Tyler: Why aren't you going after her?
Tayler: Just give her time.

Jayden and Lane get up and walk after Emily.
