Something Different

Pt.2

Jaden sits next to Emily and watches tv until she wakes up.

She finally wakes up an hour later. She sees Jaden and freaks out for a second.

Jaden: Em it's me.
Emily: You scared me.
Jaden: I'm sorry.

Emily sits up and winces. Jaden lightly touches her arms and helps her.

Jaden: Are you hungry?
Emily: Not really.
Jaden: Okay.

Jaden gets up.

Jaden: Your brother is still here.
Emily: I kinda figured. Are they asking?
Jaden: Yeah.

Emily tries to get out of bed when Jaden helps her.

They walk downstairs and Emily walks outside.

Jackson: Let me talk to her.
Bryce: Be careful.
Jaden: Are you guys still fake dating?
Bryce: I'll ask her once I feel as though she is ready.

Jackson walks outside and sits next to her.

Jackson: Hey!
Emily: Hi.
Jackson: So I heard you're pregnant. What do you think you will have?
Emily: I kinda hope a girl.
Jackson: You'll be an excellent mom.
Emily: Thank you.

Jackson stands up and tries to help Emily and she flinches.

Jackson: Sorry.
Emily: No I'm sorry.
Jackson: Em you have every right to flinch. I would too.

Jackson opens the door for Emily.

Emily: Can we get actual food.
Taylor: Do you want some canes?
Emily: Yeah.
Taylor: I'll get you canes. Do you guys wanna ride with me?

Thomas, Mia, and Jaden all stay at home with Emily.

Mia: How are you holding up?
Emily: I'm trying.
Mia: I know you are doing well.
Thomas: Em what happened. You don't have to answer.

Emily tells them everything.

Mia: I want to hug you.
Emily: Okay.

Emily takes Mia's arms and wraps them around her. She does the same with Thomas.

Mia: I love you and I always will. You come to me for anything.
Thomas: Same with me. If you need anything come to me. I don't care if you have to wake me up in the middle of the night.
Emily: Okay. Thank you.

Taylor comes back with everyone and they start eating.

They finish eating and Jaden sits next to Emily at the kitchen island.

Jaden: Em I gotta leave.
Emily: No please don't!
Jaden: Em I'll come back tomorrow. I'm gonna take a shower and change. If you need me at any time call me.
Emily: Okay.

Jaden lightly wraps his arms around Emily and hugs her.

Jaden: Blake and everyone want to see you. I told them to wait a couple of days.
Emily: Okay.

Jaden leaves and Emily sits there at the kitchen island staring into space.

Thomas: Emily.

Emily flinches and covers her face. She cowards down.

Thomas: Em I'm not gonna hurt you.
Emily: I know. I'm sorry.
Thomas: Do you need help upstairs?
Emily: No!

Emily soon realizes that she doesn't need to panic and walks upstairs to her room. She falls asleep shortly after.

A week goes by and it's a couple of days before the baby's appointment. Emily gets this weird feeling in her stomach and feels as tho she started her period.
