Pt. 74

Jaxen walks off somewhere in the barn and Chreesh stands next to the gate.

Emily: So why won't you let any of the guys by me?
Chreesh: Do I have to have a reason?
Emily: Well yeah.

Emily sets the brush down and walks to the gate.

Emily: Do you like me?
Chreesh: No.
Emily: Are you jealous they have kissed me?
Chreesh: No.

Emily opens the gate and stands next to Chreesh.

Emily: Are you jealous of them?
Chreesh: No.
Emily: Well then why can't they be near me without you having a cow?
Chreesh: You are still healing.
Emily: No i'm not.
Chreesh: If I liked you I would've said something to you by now.

Emily looks up at him and gives him a look.

Emily: I'm gonna close my eyes and if you don't kiss me then I can hang out with the boys. If you do kiss me I'll continue to listen to you because it's your house.

Emily covers her eyes and she soon feels lips on hers when she opens them Kayden is in front of her.

Kayden: Hi.
Chreesh: I told you I don't like you.
Kayden: I do.
Emily: I know you do.
Kayden: Now what are you doing? Rocky wants us to get dressed.
Emily: I am.
Chreesh: Go put something nice on.
Emily: Where are we going?
Kayden: He couldn't take you out in Nashville like he promised but we are all going out tonight.
Emily: We still have all day.
Chreesh: They are taking you out all day!
Emily: But I want to stay with the horse.
Kayden: You have an hour.
Emily: Yes!

Emily looks at Chreesh all excited.

Chreesh: I'll saddle up.

Emily hugs Kayden and Chreesh walks off and soon come back with his tackle. He gets the Bridal, Saddle, and saddle pad.

He walks his horse out of the stall and puts a lead rope on her harness. He walks her to a pole and ties over up.

Kayden helps Chreesh Saddle up the horse and smiles as Chreesh helps Emily up on the horse.

Kayden: I'll be inside.
Emily: Okay.
Chreesh: Now hold on as I get another horse saddled up.
Emily: Okay.

Chreesh gets another horse ready and takes Emily's reins into his hand and starts walking her horse alongside his.

They start walking on a trail away from the house. Emily smiles and giggles as they make small talk.

Chreesh: So if you could would you come back?
Emily: Here? Yes.
Chreesh: It's not all that bad as some people say.
Emily: Yeah.

They come up on a stream and let the horses take a drink. Emily slips and falls into the water. She spooks the horse and it runs away before Chreesh can grab the reins.

Emily stands up and looks down.

Emily: I'm sorry.
Chreesh: It's okay. Come on you can ride of the back of mine.

Chreesh gets on and helps Emily on the back of the horse. They start moving and Emily holds onto Chreesh around his waist.

Chreesh: You arent going to die Em.
Emily: I don't like this.

Chreesh helps Emily on to his lap and they start moving again.

Chreesh: Better?
Emily: Yeah.

They find the horse off the trail in the tree line. Once Chreesh gets the horse Emily gets back on and they continue to ride until they get back to Chreesh's.

Once they are back they take all the tackles off the horses and brush them down before putting them back in their stalls.

When they walk into the house Emily sees Sadie and stops when she sees her.
