Pt.32

They all get in the car and go to hype. Once they get there Nick is getting out of his car.

Nick: Long time no see little mini-me.
Emily: don't become Ryland.

They hug and walk inside. Thomas's truck is gone which means no one is home.

Nick: You've been crying.
Emily: Yeah.
Nick: This place looks nice Thomas.
Thomas: Thanks, man. You're welcome anytime you want.
Nick: Thanks.

Emily leads Nick to her room and they start talking

Nick: So your mom thought we slept together?
Emily: Practically.
Nick: You were always like a little sister to me.

Vinnie yells for Emily and they walk downstairs. Jackson runs over to Emily and hugs her.

Emily: Jacks it's been like a day.
Kristian: He missed you.
Jackson: You didn't tell anyone you were leaving.
Emily: Jacks that's the whole point.

Jackson stops hugging Emily and Emily takes Nick's hand and leads him outside. Jackson gets jealous.

Emily: Sorry.
Nick: No it's cool.

They continue to talk until Bryce walks out.

Emily: Yeah?
Bryce: Who is this?
Nick: I'm Nick. An old friend.
Bryce: Bryce.

They shake hands and Emily smiles at Bryce.

Emily: I know what Jackson is thinking.
Bryce: Yeah he's locked himself in his room.
Emily: Go figured.

Bryce walks inside and Nick looks at Emily's hand. He picks it up and looks at her stitches.

Nick: What did you do?
Emily: Pushed my dresser which knocked down my mirror.

Jackson looks out his window at Emily and Nick.

Nick: And I've heard you got shot.
Emily: Yeah on my side

Emily shows Nick her scar. Jackson watches from his window. Emily stands up and they go back inside.

Thomas: Staying for dinner?
Emily: Please we can continue talking.
Nick: Yeah.

Emily walks upstairs for her laptop and Jackson walks next to Emily.

Emily: What's your problem?
Jackson: I don't have a problem.
Emily: I think I know you a little better than that.
Jackson: You leave tell no one and come back with a dude. You showing him your body and now he's staying for dinner.
Emily: You're seriously jealous of him?

Nick walks upstairs he senses the tension and walks straight past Emily.

Jackson: Have fun with him. Whatever we have is done.

Nick turns around and wraps his arm around Emily's shoulders. Nick looks at Emily and she shakes her head.

Nick: Hey buddy this girl right here might be the best thing that ever happened to you. She's like a sister. We aren't together. Never have. I never will be with her. I got me a girl of my own.
Jackson: Don't seem like it.

Emily walks away to her room and grabs her laptop. Nick follows her.

Nick: You don't want them to know?
Emily: Not right now. I'm still thinking. I'm trying to process.
Nick: Calm down. It's gonna be okay.

Emily grabs her laptop and they walk downstairs and sit on the beanbag.

Kristian and Ace start talking to Bryce.

Kristian: Find it a little weird that she disappears with Thomas and Vinnie and comes back with a boy.
Ace: we don't know what's going on
Bryce: Why is everyone jumping to conclusions.
