Pt. 104

Lane: Who's house is this?
Emily: Hopefully someone I can trust.

Emily goes to get out and Rocky stops her.

Rocky: Em.
Emily: Trust me.
Lane: Okay. Rocky let her go. We have to trust her.
Rocky: Fine

Emily grabs her bag and gets out of the car. She walks up to the door and knocks.

She soon hears someone walk to the door and it opens. She soon sees a shirtless Phillip with a bedhead of hair.

Phillip: Emily?
Emily: Can I trust you?
Phillip: Of course. Come on in.

He opens his door and Emily walks in.

Phillip: Did you walk here?
Emily: No. My friends are outside waiting on me.
Phillip: Alright what is it you need?
Emily: I need you to keep this bag safe.
Phillip: Okay. May I ask why?
Emily: You work with Buddy.
Phillip: I still don't know who he looks like Em. Nobody has anything on him than what you and Jaden say he looks like.

Emily sighs and walks further into the house. She walks into the living room and sits down. Phillip gets into his hallway closest and puts a hoodie on. He walks over to the couch and sits next to her.

Phillip: Em what is it you are asking me to keep safe?
Emily: Whatever Bryce left for me.
Phillip: He still has contact with you?
Emily: It was when summer first started. I didn't meet him. He dropped it off at my apartment and I got it after he left.
Phillip: Is this a good idea?
Emily: Phillip he gave me the keys to his car and the papers to the house. Both houses actually.
Phillip: I'll do it.
Emily: You will?
Phillip: Why do you think you never get in trouble? I help you out every time
Emily: And I thank you for that. I am beyond grateful for what you do.
Phillip: Here I'll let you put the bag anywhere you want.

Phillip stands up and so does Emily. She walks around the house and walks into his room.

Emily: You have a safe?
Phillip: Of course I do. You can put your bag in there.

Phillip takes the bag and makes Emily turns around as he opens it and puts the bag in.

Phillip stands up and walks behind Emily. He turns her around and she looks up at him.

Emily: All good?
Phillip: Yep... Can I ask you a question?
Emily: Yeah
Phillip: Why me? Why not your brother?
Emily: He showed his ass again tonight.
Phillip: Did he put his hands on you?
Emily: No. Not this time.
Phillip: Not this time? He has put his hands on you?
Emily: Yeah.
Phillip: High school all over again.
Emily: Don't bring it up.
Phillip: Okay

Emily walks out of Phillip's room and he follows her.

Phillip: You should get home. It's getting late.
Emily: Alright thank you, Phillip.
Phillip: No problem.

Phillip walks Emily out to the porch and she walks back out to the car. Once she's in the car Phillip goes back inside and Rocky pulls out of the driveway.

Rocky: All good?
Emily: Yep!
Lane: He looks familiar.
Emily: He is the Police Officer assigned to all my cases. He's familiar with me and everything.
He used to be best friends with Tayler during middle school and high school then he joined the police academy.
Lane: You trust him?
Emily: Yeah.
Rocky: Where off to now?
Emily: I don't know I just don't want to be around Tayler.
Lane: Where do you wanna go?
Emily: Wanna sneak up to the Hollywood sign?
Rocky: Are you crazy?
