Pt.42

Emily walks into Jaden's house and hears him playing the piano. She walks up behind him and smiles. She sits next to him and he looks over surprised.

Jaden: Hey! What are you doing here? Woah! What happened to your face?

Jaden cups Emily's face and inspects her face.

Emily: I'm fine. It was Sam but Thomas beat him to a pulp. I was supposed to go see Phillip.
Jaden: Police officer?
Emily: Yeah. Do you know him?
Jaden: Yeah.

Emily moves Jaden's hand and scoots away from him a little bit.

Jaden: What are you doing here?
Emily: We need to move on Jaden...
Jaden: You want to clean out that nursery?
Emily: Yeah...
Jaden: No!
Emily: Jaden...

Jaden stands up and runs his hands through his hair.

Jaden: I thought of all people you would understand.
Emily: I do. I lost the baby too. You didn't feel what I did.
Jaden: Then how can you ask me to get rid of everything?
Emily: It can go to a family that needs the stuff Jaden.
Jaden: I don't want to get rid of it.
Emily: Jaden, please. You aren't thinking right.
Jaden: Trust me I am.
Emily: This was my first child too.
Jaden: Tell me out of all the guys you have had sex with you never got pregnant until me.
Emily: No I never did.
Jaden: And how many guys?
Emily: 8
Jaden: And I get you pregnant.
Emily: You are the last guy I have had sex with.
Jaden: That's... That was months ago.
Emily: 6-7 months... We should not be talking about my sex life. Jaden, please. That stuff can go to people in need.

Emily stands up and walks over to Jaden and takes his hands.

Emily: We are gonna have kids in the future. Maybe not with each other but with other people. Until then it can go to people in need.

Jaden shakes his head and Emily hugs him.

Emily: I'm not asking you to forget. That baby goes everywhere with me on my keys.
Jaden: I... Okay.

Emily and Jaden walk to the nursery and they start packing up for little stuff. Emily goes to the crib with a screwdriver and sits down. She starts taking it apart and Jaden soon comes and helps her.

About an hour later they have every packed and loaded in Jaden's car.

Jaden: I'm gonna drop it off at goodwill.
Emily: I'll go with you.
Jaden: I don't need people to catch on. I don't need you getting dragged.
Emily: We're gonna have to come clean at some point.
Jaden: No we don't. They don't need to know anything.

Jaden hugs Emily and walks her to her car.

Jaden: I will protect you at all costs.
Emily: You don't have to.
Jaden: I am no matter what.

Emily hugs Jaden again and he opens her door for her. Emily gets in her car and Jaden closes the door and walks over to his car.

Once Emily gets home and she walks into the house and sees a beautiful long brown-haired girl sitting in the kitchen.

Emily: You must be Paige.
Paige: Yes. Hi, you must be Emily.
Emily: I am.

Emily hugs Paige and they smile at each other. Jackson walks into the kitchen and smiles at Emily.

Emily: I got news!
Jackson: Which is?
Emily: Nature walk.
Thomas: You barely made it walking in high heels at Griffin's premiere.
Emily: I was in high heels.
Mia: Well tomorrow, we are going to Disneyland. So you gonna be sore.

Emily's phone rings and she answers it as she's walking outback.

Emily: Hello?
Amelie: Gonna have to rain check.
Emily: Oh okay.
Blake: Sorry Em!
Emily: It's okay. You guys do what you guys gotta do. We will plan for another day.
Amelie: Okay. I'm still sorry.
Emily: No it's okay. Bye love you.
Amelie: Bye love you
