Pt.60

Jayden and Lane get up and follow Emily. Jayden knocks on the door and she slightly opens it.

Jayden: You okay?
Emily: Yeah...
Lane: You can trust us.
Emily: Homesick.
Jayden: Come sit with us.
Lane: Tell Konnor to move over.
Emily: Okay.

They walk back and Jayden gives Konnor a look as he moves. Emily sits down and Jayden sits next to her.

Kayden: What's in the backpack?
Emily: Gifts for me.
Konnor: Can I see?
Emily: I haven't even seen

Jayden grabs the backpack and opens it. Lane then smacks him and Emily giggles.

Lane: Dude she said no to Kayden.
Emily: It's fine. Nothing bad that I know of.

Jayden pulls out 2 squish mellows and Emily snatches them.

Lane: Who are those?
Emily: Bryce's not Hall Parker.
Chreesh: Did something happen?
Emily: He shot me.
Lane: What?
Jayden: You've been shot?

Emily stands up and lifts her shirt and reveals the scar. She also has other scars on her body as well.

Lane lightly touches the scar Kayden's mouth drops open. Chreesh's eyes get all big. Jayden looks more closely and sees more scars on her hips.

Jayden: How did you get all these?

Tayler walks over and Emily pulls her shirt down. He hands Emily his phone and she answers it.

Tayler: She won't stop. Em.
Emily: Tayler.
Tayler: I don't know what she wants.

           ✨On the phone ✨

Emily: Hello?
Wendy: Hello Emily.
Emily: Are you fucking kidding me! Leave me alone. You almost killed me!

Emily has gotten up and she and Tayler have walked to the back of the plane.

Wendy: My son's birthday is coming up in a couple of days.
Emily: Okay and he doesn't need you.
Wendy: I knew you would say that. Now I have a place in mind where you guys are going. Now, do as I say and I won't tell Christian and Will where you are.
Emily: Go to hell.
Wendy: We're already there.
Emily: I don't care what you want.
Wendy: You think the last time they had you was bad just wait.
Emily: I hope you fucking die and rot in a prison cell. Ever call this number again and it will be the last time.

         ✨End of the call✨

Emily shoves Tayler's phone into his chest. And looks up at him with tears in her eyes.

Emily: I'm not safe anywhere Tayler. She is probably on the phone with them right now.
Tayler: Breath.
Emily: No don't ask me to breathe. Did you forget she put a gun to my head?
Tayler: I know -

Emily's phone rings and she looks at it. She slowly raises it to her ear.

          ✨On the phone ✨

Emily: H-hello?
Will: Hello Emily.
Emily: What do you want?
Will: You thought I wouldn't find out if you left?
Emily: H-how did you find out?
(Tayler: Em? Em who is on the phone?)
Will: Christian will not be happy once he finds out you made new guy friends.
Emily: I'm not his property.
Will: We've claimed you.

             ✨End of call✨

Emily: Tayler i'm not safe.
Tayler: Emily listen to me. I won't leave your side.

Tyler walks over.

Tyler: What has your panties in a twist?
Tayler: Not now Tyler.
Emily: I'm not safe anywhere.
Tyler: They won't try anything while you are in public.
Emily: That's where you are completely wrong!

Emily runs her hands through her hair and goes and sits back down.

About 3 hours pass and Emily's phone rings again. She answers it

✨On the phone.✨

Emily: Hello?
Christian: Hey baby!
Emily: Go to hell!
(Jayden: Em?)
Christian: You know how I don't like you with any other guys.
Emily: I'm not yours.
Christian: I'll see you tonight.

✨End of phone call✨

Emily drops her phone and stands up. She walks over to Tayler and wakes him up while starting to cry. Tayler wakes up and hugs her.

Tayler: Em.
Emily: He's gonna be there. He called.
Tayler: Christian? Again?
Emily: No the first one was Will. I just got off the phone with Christian. He says he's gonna see me.
Tyler: Impossible. No one could've told him. He's probably scaring you.
Tayler: Tyler could be right.
Emily: Why won't you believe me anymore? Ever since you found out Nick is my real brother you haven't tried!

Emily walks to the bathroom and closes the door behind her. She takes Jackson's hoodie and smells it for comfort. Someone knocks on the door and she ignores them until they slide open the door since she didn't lock it. It was Kayden with her backpack.

Emily: Thanks.
Kayden: Wanna talk about it?
Emily: No.

Emily takes the backpack and takes out Jackson's chain and puts it on. She then takes the cologne and looks at Kayden.

Kayden: Let me see it.

Kayden takes the Cologne and sprays Emily with it and she slightly smiles at him. She puts the cologne back and Kayden opens his arms. Emily hugs him and he walks away. She takes some time to herself and when she's walking out of the bathroom Tayler is walking up to her. Emily's face drops and she looks at him.

Emily: What.
Tayler: I'm sorry. You're right.
Emily: Oh how you are treating me differently and don't even take my side anymore?
Tayler: Yeah...

Tayler looks down and Emily shakes her head.

Emily: Pull your head out of your ass. Just because a test came back saying we aren't related doesn't change the fact that I have known you my whole life.
Tayler: I know. I won't let you out of my sight.

Tayler opens his arms and Emily runs into his arms and they stay like that for a couple of minutes.

Konnor: Awe! Brother and sister love.
Tayler: And you've ruined it.
Lane: Can I get caught up with whatever drama is going on?

Emily looks at Tayler and they both nod. Emily and Tayler tell everyone everything.

After they answer all the questions they are halfway to Tennessee. Emily decides to take a nap and she is laying on Tayler's shoulder.

Tyler: Have you ever wondered why her?
Tayler: Yeah. Why?
Tyler: I'm just trying to understand.
Tayler: My mom has always been hard on her for her grades but I always thought that was because she was a girl and stuff.
Tyler: It doesn't make sense. She was so concerned for her every time I was there.
Tayler: Mom only got that way when Bryce was there really. I understand now. He was to make Emily fall in love with him.

Emily's phone starts ringing again.
