"Gracie." Logan says from my closet door.
I don't look to him.
"Are you ready?" He asks.
"Would you be ready?" I ask glancing over my outfit another time.
The dress is beautiful and obviously my mom picked it out for me, apparently as soon as she got back from Seattle.
The dress comes to a little above my knee and has black mesh flare sleeves.
My heels also go so lovely, so does my purse.
"I wouldn't." Logan admits.
I haven't really spoke to him since my mom died. I don't really have much to say to anyone.
I twirl my finger around one of the light curls in my hair and let out a sigh.
"Is the car here?" I ask.
"Yeah." He nods.
I grab my sunglasses and push them on my face before walking past Logan and downstairs to where my dad is stood.
"You ready?" Dad glances over me.
"I guess." I bite.
I'm not trying to be angry with my dad, he lost the love of his life. I just don't really have any patience and if someone asks me if I'm ready one more time I might flip my shit.
My dad leads me to the car and thankfully Logan isn't riding with us.
He hasn't left me alone since my mom died actually. He's giving me space so he's staying in a spare room. My dad is staying in the other spare room, he doesn't want to be in that room, it's too raw.
Dad and I don't really talk on the way to the church. We haven't really spoke too much since that night in the hospital.
When we get to the church, he helps me out of the car and takes me with him to talk to the priest and the funeral director.
We then get put by the door as everyone starts coming in to thank them for coming.
I don't really talk much, dad does. He does all the talking actually and I just stand and give polite smiles.
When the girls arrive they all rush to try and talk to me and ask me if I'm okay. No one has seen me since the day my mom died. When they found out they tried to come over but I didn't want to see them.
"You look too thin." Hannah points out.
"Hannah." Spencer grits.
"Thank you for coming." I say as best as I can.
"It means a lot." My dad adds. "Liz was really sad she couldn't have you girls over one last time. She really liked hosting your sleepovers and dinners."
I'm going to be sick.
I catch a glimpse of Logan coming up the stairs and I immediately feel sicker and so suffocated.
"I need the restroom." I tell my dad and then rush through the girls and head to the toilet.
Once I get in the cubicle I immediately kneel down and start throwing up.
God this feels way too real. I need this to be over.
"Grace?" A soft voice that belongs to Miss Montgomery comes into the bathroom.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
I stand up and flush the toilet before slipping out of the cubicle.
"Hey." She gives me a sympathetic smile as soon as she sees me.
