I spend the following days while Ivar is away either relaxing at home or playing games with my boys at the res. The weather is getting colder, and it's icing more on the road, so I can't take my bike out and end up getting rides from Charlie instead. When I'm home, I read through my new books I received and play my new games.

The morning of New Year's Eve comes and brings two wonderful things with it. I wake up and look out my window and see I must have slept through a snowstorm, because there's about a foot of fresh snow covering everything. I excitedly take a shower and get ready to play outside, and as I'm putting on my coat the phone rings, bringing my second surprise of the day.

"Hello, Swan residence." I answer the phone with impatience.

"Hello fridr." I hear Ivar's deep, smooth voice on the other end of the line. I didn't realize until just then how much I have missed him.

"Hello kjekken! I have missed you." I tell him honestly. I've spent most the week he's been gone ignoring the subtle loneliness in my chest from his absence. Just hearing his voice now has made the ache disappear and a smile blossom on my lips.

"And I you. What are your plans for today?" He asks me and I can practically hear the smile in voice.

"I'm just heading outside to play in the snow like the adult that I am. Would you care to join me?" I say to him with a chipper and sassy tone.

"I'll be there in 15." He says laughing and hangs up.

I get an idea on what we can do today in the snow, and I quickly call Jasper. When I was last at the Cullen's house, I had spotted something in Ivar's room during the brief time I was in there, and that gave me the inspiration for today. I gave Jasper instructions on where to bring the certain item, and he said it would be there in 15 minutes. I hastily run and set mine up at the site as well, and am just walking back towards the front of my house when Ivar pulls up. Snow was still lightly falling even now, and it was sticking to my braided hair and my new coat.

"You are a vision." Ivar breaths out to me when he rest's his forehead against mine, holding me in his arms the moment he saw me. "I will never hunt again if it brings me away from your beauty for so long."

"Cheesy!" I call out to him with a smirk and kiss him. "Did you have fun, handsome?"

"I did, actually. We ran into a heard of particularly aggravated moose." He tells me fondly with a small smirk. "The bears had mostly already gone into hibernation."

"That's good, I assume." I shrug, not being able to relate to his feeding but happy he had fun nonetheless. "I'm glad you're here though, I want to take you somewhere." I say and start dragging him into the woods by our conjoined hands.

"Oh no, is this the part where you take me into the woods and, what was it? Sacrifice me to your gods?" He jokes at me.

"Yup!" I say, grinning in response.
