Several months have passed since the Chinese New Years festival. Ivar asks me questions now and then about parts of my second life, which I am happy to talk about with him. Shinobi has been wonderful in his training, and he no longer tries to escape anymore. His markings give him a naturally intimidating look, and he turned out to be a really calm and loving dog, so he fit in really well with me and Ivar. He loves going to the beach and on hikes. He's surprisingly comfortable with the Cullen's though he freaks out when they move at vamp speed near him and he can almost sense when they're thirsty.

When it was time for the Super Bowl, Charlie and I hosted and Ivar came over and brought Emmett with him. I joked to Emmett in front of Charlie a few days before that he had to eat before coming over because there was no way I was going to feed a giant like him, just as a cover for why he wasn't eating. Billy and Harry were over for the game too, and they were very tense the whole time towards the vamps.

A few weeks later, Billy tried to warn me off of dating Ivar, and I told him bluntly that I was his mate, and he was mine. It was a blunt and candid conversation, but it cleared the air between us. Once we established that I was going to be with Ivar no matter what, Billy was still nervous, but he at least understood. When he would occasionally spot Ivar over at the house when visiting, he glared less each time, until the point where I could see the acceptance in his eyes.

The summer went by quite nicely. I've found different activities to do with each different Cullen member. I went on a massive back to school shopping trip with Alice at the end of summer before my birthday. She at first wanted to take me to Paris, but I talked her down to New York and we spent several exhausting but satisfying days there. I'm not the biggest shopper, but I can have my moments where I enjoy it, just not nearly on her level. But I did love being in New York again, it was a fun trip all around for me and her to bond over. We left our boys at home for that trip, much to each of their secret relief to not be our pack mules.

Rosalie and I had set out to prank Emmett one day during the summer because he had destroyed a chunk of her shoes on accident. I had taken her into the garage and swiftly started to efficiently disassemble his Jeep. She was shocked I knew how to do that, but then quickly joined in. We hid a few key and important pieces of his car in the forest and gave him a map Rose drew up, telling him we set up a scavenger hunt. By the second piece he found, he realized what had happened, but Rose and I were long gone, off spending a day in Seattle getting her replacement shoes.

I had also bonded a bit with Edward, through music of course. We played a variety of genres, and I was surprised that he liked my idea of converting modern songs to classical styles. He is a gifted composer after all, so it was easy for him to make songs for the both of us. I was surprised that he also has more of a personality than I originally thought, and he's actually very sweet. Eddy gets along great with his brothers, and it's fun to watch them argue like real siblings.
