"Ana! Holy shit is that yours?!" Jay calls out to me when we get back to my bike. I turn and give him a smug grin, nodding vigorously.

"I couldn't resist! I saw this at the dealership and practically drooled. It tested pretty good in a warehouse district, it corners great!" I tell him happily.

"Wait, warehouse district? Is there where you were when you left me with that weasel?" Jasper asks me, still offended I left him there with the judgmental jerk.

"We always gotta make sure they can handle well. That's why I chose mine here," Jay answers for me, pointed to the red Ducati. "I took mine on a two hour test through Seattle, had to see how it did in the alley ways, ya know?"

"That's yours?!" I ask him excitedly. "I freaking saw this bike before! That's why I got mine!"

"Shit, I left a note on yours like a month or two ago. It's custom, right? And limited edition too." He admires it for a minute, then turns a challenging grin to me. "Race? For old times' sake?"

I smirk at him, "You'll still lose." I say confidently. I quickly give him the address to my home. "Standard rules. No rules. Don't die, see you there!" I slap my helmet on fast and he scrambles to his bike, getting on as I take off. In the distance, I can hear Jasper calling out my name, probably annoyed at being left behind again. Vampires are so adorable, they hate being caught off guard and being left behind.

We race through the forested highways, flying at top speeds, pushing our racing bikes to their limits. Jay catches up to me and we edge each out the whole trip, narrowly avoiding other cars and thankfully not running into any cops. Charlie would not be amused if he or one of his deputies clocked my current speeds. We make it to my home in record timing.

"I totally beat you, again!" I cheer out to Jay as he pulls up to my driveway a split second after me.

"You cheated! And you know it." He whines as we walk in the house. Shinobi runs up to greet me, and also greets Jay happily. He scratches his ear briefly, turning and casing the house while also admiring it.

"Nice place. I see some habits die hard." He grins at me for my lavish lifestyle. "So, where is this guy?"

"He's on his way now." Jasper answers, walking in after us. It took him a while to catch up. "He'll be here any minute now."

"You called him? Does he know?" I ask him quickly.

"He knows you are home with a guest, that's all." He replies soothingly.

"You're gonna prank the fucker, aren't you?" Jay asks me with a smirk, analyzing my mischievous expression.

"Who me? I would never." I say innocently, planning a prank in my mind already. "Go sit on the couch!" I order them both.

"Too late, darlin, he's already here." Jasper responds with a chuckle and I hear a car coming in quickly into the driveway.

"Darn. Oh well." I grumble out as Ivar walks in the house. "Hello kjekken, we have a very important guest. I want you to meet Jay Drake." I snicker out his last name, still finding it hilarious for multiple reasons. "Jay, meet Ivar Eriksen, my fiancé."

Jay stands up to his full height, which is almost the same as Ivar's, and tilts his head in a menacing manor. He takes a slow circle around Ivar, assessing him like a predator does his prey. Ivar on the other hand, stands tall and unintimidated. He crosses his arms and looks coldly at Jay, obviously not liking having this seemingly random mortal look at him like he's scum. They stare at each other in silence for a moment, and I suppress my giggles at the amount of testosterone and intimidation in the room.
