~ Ivar POV ~

"Going up to train them again?" Aria asks me a bit stiffly as I am getting ready to head up to Forks.

It has been a few months since we learned that Victoria was back in Forks. Disappearances have slowly started in Seattle as well. I have not allowed Aria to come back up to the state, which she has been very put out about. I don't care, I will not risk her safety. I can't risk it.

I dropped out of the school the moment we got back from finding out about Victoria. It did not interest me, and I was only there as a cover and to be close to my mate, but since I barely even saw her during the days anyway, it was simply a waste of my time. Aria didn't mind at all when I told her I was leaving the school, she was apparently already expecting it. I can tell she also is not enjoying her schooling, she has not made any bonds to anyone here and is growing restless being here for some reason, likely because she is far away from those she knows. That is why she is further annoyed with me at not letting her go back home.

I have taken several trips, either alone or most often with Jasper to go and train the Cullen's or take a scouting trip into Seattle. Thus far, we have managed to catch one newborn, but he was alone, and had no information about where the others were, so I disposed of him quickly. This trip now I am taking is because Alice had a vision of Victoria clearly that she would be in the town, so we are making an attempt to catch her.

"Yes my love, Alice had a vision, we must make an attempt and I am their greatest fighter." I inform her.

"Fine." She grumbles out at me. "Tell the wolves too, have them on guard. Jake just shifted a couple days ago, so there's an extra set of hands, well paws, but you get it. He may not be useful yet, but at least he's big. Jared says he's adapting well though, and that he's huge." She tells me.

"I already sent a message to Paul earlier, they will be waiting." I tell her comfortingly, and pull her gently into my arms. "I know you want to see them, but this is safer for you, to be here. I know you are mighty, but you are still human, still breakable." I whisper into her hair, desperately holding her tighter at the end.

"I know. I'm just... I don't know, bored, restless, cranky." She whines lightly to me. "You and Jas are gone more now, and my classes are so full of anti-social introverts and I only have Ned to talk to. Hell, Shinobi's made more friends here than I have."

"It's because you hate pointless endeavors, my dear. You know we will not be staying. Plus you're much too brilliant for your classes, you intimidate the losers." I comfort her teasingly, and it gets a laugh out of her.

"I do have a reputation to uphold." She grins up at me, her freckled face shining with mirth. "Besides, when this mess is all over I can transfer to UW and be closer to my cool people who I love."

"Yes. Now you must let me go so I can go up and finish this problem, hopefully sooner rather than later. Hells, if we catch Victoria now you may even be able to see the Regionals competition that Alan will be at next weekend." I give her a small reassuring smile, but it immediately seems to not be working as I see panic hit her.

"Shit! Alan! I can't let him go to Seattle!" She says quickly in fear. "He's an assistant teacher now, of course he would be going to the tournaments, why didn't I think of that!?" I am genuinely surprised she did not think of this, she mentioned it only a few months ago.

"I will watch over him if the problem still is going on. He will be fine." I vow to her calmly.

"If he will be so fine, then I should be fine to come too." She stubbornly challenges back to me.
