We have now been vampires for about a week. As newborns, we have to feed very often, about every day or every other day just to keep control. Jay has to go a little more often than me, but he's always had poor impulse control, so that makes sense, plus he doesn't have a mate or children to calm him down.

Another thing about being a newborn, is our tempers flare up easily, over the tiniest things. It's gotten to the point that Jay and I have been getting into fist fights over the tiniest things. It takes sibling rivalry to whole new supernatural level, especially when we leveled a quarter acre of the woods by our house. Ivar and Jasper have officially decided to take us out to do some combat training, hoping it would focus us and get some pent up annoyance out on one another.

So, that leads to today. Jay and I are now facing each other in a large, empty field in the middle of the forest, with no one around for miles. Rose and Bella are at our house watching the boys along with Carlie so we can have time to do this.

"Alright, you two are going to spar with each other now. No kill shots, no dismembering, just sparring." Ivar says firmly from where he stands like a referee. "Your tempers are much shorter as newborns, so your twin antics are getting out of hand. Get it out of your systems here, and not at home. Is that understood?"

"Yes, sir." We both reply in mild sarcasm, staring each other down. We spent many years sparring together, this will just be new with our extreme speed and strength.

"Alright. Jasper and I will step in if it gets out of hand. Now, Begin!" Ivar calls out, and we start our fight.

Jay lunges first, like he always does, starting our usual dance. We begin to fly through our normal sparring movements, just enhanced, but still all familiar. Ivar took all our weapons away, partly to decrease distractions, but also because they would just break. So instead we will just grapple, punch and kick each other.

After about an hour, Jay and I are both grinning towards one another.

"I'm still faster than you!" I taunt as I continue to evade and slip away from his attacks.

"I'm still stronger than you!" He yells as he lands a solid punch against my shoulder. I retaliate quickly and throw him over my shoulder into the ground, hard.

"Every damn time..." He grumbles out. "You know, sparring is fun and all, but sometimes the simplicity of just," He takes his fingers into a gun shape, dramatically aims it at me and focuses on it, "Shooting your enemy can be better." He pulls his finger gun back like he's shooting a gun to demonstrate his point.

What happens next, no one predicted. As Jay pulls his finger gun back, I suddenly go flying after hearing an explosive sound. I fly back into the tree line, taking several out with me. I hear everyone call out my name as I get back up, pissed off to high hell.

In my rage, I just picture myself behind Jay, throwing him back down again, and then suddenly, that's exactly what's happening. One moment I'm in the shade of the tree's in the forest, the next I'm launching up right behind him and throwing him down into the ground.

"What the fuck just happened?" Jay and I ask in sync as we both straighten up, staring first at each other, then at my husband and friend. Both of them are staring wide eyed at us both.

"I think... you're both gifted. Though I can't explain what I just saw." Jasper says to us, looking back and forth between us and the forest. "Jay, it looked like you created an explosion, but like it was created with air. It was so powerful it launched Aria back into the forest."

"Then Aria, it looked like you literally rose from his shadow. You appeared from the ground right behind him." Ivar says in awe. "What were either of you thinking about at those moments?" He asks us seriously.
