A/N: Lemon in chapter

Jasper arrived the weekend before classes started, which this year was the same day as my 19th birthday. I had gotten myself a fancy new laptop for my computer programming classes. I opted to take late afternoon or early evening classes, leaving my mornings free to do music. I decided at almost last minute of registration to take a music minor, which is just one class a term thankfully. Ivar and Jasper both have to take night courses, and they found the most shaded routes to take into the buildings.

Jasper had some anxiety for his first day. It was, after all, really the first time he has had to be without his mate or any Cullen's and spend so long trapped in one room with humans. Back in Forks, History was the only class he had away from them, and he had it with me which always helped. It will help him that I'm at least in the same side of campus as him, just over in the next building. The lecture halls he's in are right near my computer labs. Ivar was disheartened to learn that all his science classes are on the other side of campus and he wouldn't be able to steal kisses from me in between class.

"I'm telling you, these classes must be for little grade schoolers." I complain to Jasper as we meet up in between our classes on the third day of college. "There's nothing in this syllabus that I didn't learn ages ago."

"Yeah, at least for me I'm going to learn what not to get caught doing. Which, ya know, I never would." Jasper jokes back. "Ah, looks like you've got another one. Four o'clock, orange backpack."

We've been keeping a running commentary of the people who stare at us since we got to school. Jasper can spot the lust in people easily, while I watch their eyes and mannerisms. I'm a little proud to almost be keeping up with a vampire, but I would hope the ring would keep the 'hopefuls' away.

"Oh god, he's another dumb jock type." I roll my eyes as the meathead jock in a letterman jacket smirks at me when I turn to glance. "This makes me wonder how professor hottie is doing all by himself in the science wing. He doesn't have a guard dog to keep the lustful's away." I grin up at Jasper. It's been great, no one hits on us while we are together.

"I'm sure he just glares once and they all go running." Jasper says dismissively. "He's got that extra intimidation factor. You just don't notice it, but everyone naturally avoids Ivar on instinct. Usually it's the same for me, but I think they approach me after they see me talkin' to you." He drawls out sarcastically.

"You're blamin' me, cowboy?" I gasp dramatically, hand to my heart as I give him a Texan drawl as well. "Well I never! The disrespect! Claimin' I'm makin' you a nicer person. It's a downright scandal." We grin at each and bust up laughing, drawing even more attention our way.

Jasper heads back to his class, which is starting sooner than mine, so I hang out a little longer in the quad. Most of the afternoon classes are getting out, and the area is pretty crowded by now.
