"When I first met Death, they talked to me about my soul." I start to explain to Ivar, bundled up in his coat as we sit together in the crisp February air. "They said parts of it were missing or too weak to have formed fully. I asked them what parts, and they said I'll have to learn for myself what's missing, but that they will send me to different realms I'm familiar with in order to learn those lessons. Death then gave me the hint for my first lesson, friendship." I tell him with fond remembrance at what I was about to learn in that world.

"At their hint, I reflected back on my first life and realized I barely held friends for longer than a few months, and the ones I did I barely spoke to or had anything in common with. So Death sent me to my first resurrection, where I was reborn into the most strange realm. Reality was entirely different there. I wasn't even a real flesh and blood, 3D human anymore." I tell him, chuckling at the memory of how different the world was.

"Wait, what? You weren't a human?" Ivar asks, thoroughly confused.

"I was reborn into an animation." I grin at him at his confused expression. "It was fluid and well-constructed, but I was most definitely in an anime, which is a Japanese animation. I was born into that world, and was so disoriented by the change, I couldn't even grasp the fact that I was laid next to another baby. It took me several minutes to stop crying and calm down, which thankfully is normal behavior for a newly born baby. When I was picked up, along with the other baby and placed in a man's arms, I was startled when I recognized the man." My eyes soften in the memory of my first real father I had. "He started speaking in a foreign language, and I picked out bits and pieces and realized it was Japanese, and he was telling us our names. My name in that world was Ami Hyuga. The baby next to me was Neji Hyuga. I was actually reborn into the Naruto world, as one of the character's twin sister." I grin once again, as I often do whenever I remember Neji.

"I was so confused and unsure of what to do in that new life that I simply did whatever my new older twin brother did." I chuckled lightly. "I had to learn a whole new language, which went well because it was taught to me as if it was my first. I grew up in the family compound, always by Neji's side. He didn't mind, he sought me out just as much as I did him. We were true twins and best friends. He had easily and effortlessly filled the roll of being my first real friend."

"As time passed, I wondered if I was simply in the world of Naruto, or if I was actually in the story. I began training to be a ninja at the age of 3 and was easily able to keep pace with my brother, who was a genius. In the story, he was prevailed as the genius of the clan, with the most potential. When we were four, that is when I learned that I was in fact in the story line." I say the last part with a bitter tone and Ivar holds my hand, rubbing comforting circles with his thumb.

"Neji and I were born to the younger twin of the Hyuga family head." I continue after a moment. "That made us branch members, and not head members. Branch members of the family must go through an evil curse, to prevent anyone from stealing our clans' secrets, even from our corpses. It's a seal that's placed our foreheads, and Neji and I received ours when Hinata, the first-born daughter of the family head, became 3. It was tradition." I spit out angrily.

"On her birthday, my brother and I had our seals placed on us. And I have never known pain like I did in that moment." I feel Ivar grab and hold me now as I shiver, recalling the feeling, and he is growling in anger quietly. "The seals not only block our powers from being stolen, but they also allow the main family to be able to control us and lock our powers away, and cause us immeasurable pain or even death. Anyway, soon after the birthday party, an enemy ninja from another village attempted to kidnap Hinata. Her father killed the ninja, but the enemy village complained about his death, that there was no 'proof' of the kidnapping attempt, and they demanded the family head's life in payment. It was clearly a ruse; they just wanted a main family member in order to steal our power."
