~ 5 years later ~
It has finally come time for us to move away from Forks.
The boys were home schooled their whole lives, and are about a year from becoming full adults. They really slowed down in their aging two years ago, only looking to age about two years in each of those one. Now, they look about like 18 year old's.
Eddy likes to joke constantly that my sons look more like him than his own daughter does. As true as it is, with their slightly bronzed light brown hair and all around good looks, it's not funny. I think they look a lot more like Ivar than like me. Ivar disagrees and thinks they look more like me. They grew into having a narrower jaw than his, but they have his nose. Their eye shapes and brows are closer to my own, just more masculine. And their height, they both inherited his height, for sure. They are a little over 6' now, and may yet grow a little taller still. They are muscular in build, because they spend all their time either playing with the wolves or training with their parents or uncles.
Their diet needed to change once they hit puberty age. We noticed their height was not growing much, and they were looking thinner, despite how much we fed them. We discovered they finally needed more blood, so began to take them hunting. Neither particularly care for animal blood, much like us, but they are willing to try until we move. They still don't need much blood, so our theory is they will likely only need to share one human once a month and will likely be set. As it is, they can barely finish a small deer by themselves.
We got to stick around for all my friends' weddings. First was Sam and Emily, since they were already engaged. After that was Jared and Kim, then Leah and Alan. I got to be Leah's Maid of Honor at her wedding.
Paul was the last to wed, it took some time for Rachel to realize that marrying him would mean she had to move back home permanently, which she was against doing. Eventually though, thanks to a little 'accident' we all now call their daughter Chloe, she realized being close to family meant the world to her, and she and Paul got married right before we planned to move. Paul had me as a grooms-woman, he didn't care about being traditional at all. Each of my sons got be their godfather's ring bearer, and Leah had them both do it together for her wedding. For Alan, if he noticed anything strange about the boys, he chose not to mention it, and we had them call Ivar and I 'Aunty and Uncle' as a cover.
We made yearly trips during the summers in Forks to visit Italy so the boys can spend time getting to know Marcus and Vidar. We also got to know Alina too, after she spent some time healing after the battle. It turns out they had starved her for nearly six months, among many other terrible things.
Alina has a gift, the ability to control weather and create storms, and even control lightning. Her powers don't work when in a confined or small place though, nor when she's far away from the open sky, so that's why the Romanian's kept her in the underground crypts like they did, so she couldn't fight back. I've gotten to see her power in full bloom a couple times now, and it's pretty impressive. I can see why the fake story of Aro trying to covet her power would work, especially when Aro can still be seen looking at her greedily whenever she uses her gift.
