Our first destination on our honeymoon is a three week stay on the Volturi's privately owned island in Greece. Marcus gave it to Ivar as our wedding gift back when we visited Volterra. I know I grew up wealthy in my second resurrection, but even Bruce never had a private island, so this is going to be a wonderful adventure.

The flight was very long, with a layover in Florida, but thankfully it was all first class and I slept through a lot of it. I had changed out of my dress right before leaving, and was comfortable in a casual designer white dress with warm leggings so I don't get cold. The Cullen's assured me they would handle all the cleanup from the wedding, saying they were still forever indebted to me after all of my help with them over the years. They've equally done a lot for me over the years, and I love having them as friends.

I slept most the way through the flights, cuddled up against my husband who wrapped a blanket around us and just held me the whole time. He shook me awake gently as we landed in Athens in the early evening.

"Wake up, my adorable wife." Ivar grins softly down at me from where I was sleeping against his sweater covered shoulder. "We have landed."

I glance around and nod sleepily, starting to wake myself up a bit. We get off the plane and get our bags, and he's greeted by a driver who was arranged for us. This is a Volturi guard who usually maintains the island and residence so it's ready for guests. He will be showing us to the boat that will take us there, and be on the main land if we want a tour guide or have any additional needs. Not a bad job to have within the guard, to live permanently in paradise. He will also be the one stocking the food for me, though I do plan to spend a good amount of time eating my way through the different islands while we're here.

It didn't take long for us to reach the boat, which is a very fast looking luxury speedboat. The guard member said something to Ivar in Greek, which makes me start to regret never learning the language much beyond food dishes.

"He said it will take just a half hour longer until we are there." Ivar tells me when I look at him in confusion during their conversation. "You know, I actually half expected you to speak Greek. You seem to be able to do everything else." He teases me smugly.

"I can order food." I stubbornly reply. "Nothing else seemed important beyond that."

He roared with laughter at my stubborn confession, then kissed my pouting lips. The guard puts our bags on the boat while Ivar helps me up into it, then he flits away towards the main land after a short bow to us.

The smell of the salty sea was strong but not unpleasant, and we soared through the dark waters, barely making a sound. After about a half hour, we slowed and approached a good sized island, thick with forest and I could just make out a lit up building of some type in the distance. Ivar unloaded our bags and helped me down, and I looked around the island, taking in the scenery.

"Wait here my love, I am going to take the bags in first." Ivar kisses my head then speeds away into the darkness.

The beach was lit up softly with glowing lanterns spaced out along the sand, but it was still difficult to see much in the dark. As I waited, I kicked my shoes off and put my feet into the cool water. It was still winter here, even if it was warmer than home, so the water was pretty cold. I was just getting used to it when I felt familiar arms wrap around my waist from behind, my back automatically pressing into the broad chest that held me.

"It's so quiet here." I whisper out, enjoying only the sounds of the waves against the beach and Ivar's slow, steady breaths against my neck.

"It is..." He breathes out against my hair. "What do you say we fix that?" He seductively asks, tightening his hold around me.
