After we got back, I rested off my jet lag for a few days at the Cullen house before going to pick up Shinobi and see Charlie. I wasn't quite showing yet, but the bump was growing rapidly. I easily blamed it on the vast amount of food I did in fact eat, though Charlie never commented on my appearance anyway. We caught up and I filled him in on all, well most, of our adventures we took.

I have slowly over the last two years been visiting Charlie less and less, to the point where I only see him once, maybe twice a month in person. It will make it easier for when I eventually can't see him. It's less suspicious this way, less hard. He knows that I'm a newlywed and a college student. I told him next semester is almost entirely on campus and I'll be busy with that.

We also talked about how much I liked Norway, and told him that Ivar still has family there and that we might even consider moving to there, or to England. I simply started to plant the seed now, so when I transition it will be easier to leave. He went along with Bella's story, and accepts Carlie just fine thanks to the wolf legends. If need be, we can use those too, but I think for now I just like having the options open.

When I went to see the wolves a week later, they were excited for me to find out I was pregnant. Jake made the poor error in judgement to say I was bigger than Bella was when she was pregnant, and rather than defend myself and say I ate my way through four countries, my short, hormonal temper took over. He isn't as familiar with my hidden skill sets, so he did not react in time to avoid the knife before it plunged into his shoulder, thrown from where I sat and glared at him on the couch. My boys jumped in front of me in defense, just in case Jake was going to transform and attack, which he almost did, but he thankfully calmed down after Sam pulled the knife out of his shoulder. He's a wolf, he'll heal fast, so I had shrugged it off and threateningly asked if anyone else wanted to call the pregnant woman fat, to which everyone shook their heads rapidly in a no.

Jay has been the best about the pregnancy though. He never got to watch the mother of his daughter be pregnant, so he's enjoying the process through me. Also, he has moved into my house permanently at this point. His grandparents both passed peacefully while I was gone on my honeymoon. He had a quiet funeral for them, their friends all attended, and he had them buried by his parents.

Sadly for Jay though, his illness has finally caught up with him. I can see it, he can keep less food down, and he has about as much energy as me these days, so we've just been stuck to each other like glue. He plans to do his change when I do mine, and since he's dying of an illness already, Carlisle graciously offered to be the one to change him since it fit his usual style. It also gives Ivar more focus on changing me, since it apparently takes a lot of willpower and concentration to change someone, so doing two at once would be very difficult for one vampire.

About a week and a half after my arrival back home, I was over in Carlisle's home office, getting a checkup done while I tried sipping on my first cup of blood. It wasn't bad, and I seemed to keep it down alright, so we're making the plans to add it in now to my diet.

"Hmm." Carlisle hummed in observation after I finished the cup. "Odd..." he mumbled.

"What's odd?" I ask him.

"Well, based on my math on where you are on your pregnancy vs Bella's, you have some differences so far." He says, and Ivar and I both sit up a little bit straighter paying attention.

"What is different?" Ivar asks urgently, worry already etched into his features.

"Well, two things really. Bella couldn't handle the blood until about a week later than you. Also, your size," He starts to say and I glare sharply at him, making him correct himself before calling me fat. "The size of the baby bump, I mean. You appear to be farther along, or at least developing a little bigger than she did."
