After the battle was over and done, Ivar and I headed back to our Oregon home to pack up. We had no need to stay any longer, and we had already found a new place to buy.
I found our new home tucked away in Port Angeles. I'm enrolled at UW along with Jasper and Alice, and a first glance at my schedule shows I will only need to be on campus one day a week, so the 2 hour ride from Port Angeles won't be bad. The house is set into the forest, with a large creek running through the backyard. It has a very open floorplan, with high ceilings and a cabin-like feel to it, but very modern. I had become very spoiled with having my own dojo area, so Ivar promised to build me a covered platform and have it run over the top of the creek like a bridge, so I'm excited for that.
The house itself is huge, much bigger than anything the two of us could ever need, but it fit our need for privacy well. And honestly, the bathroom was already a custom design with stone steps and a fireplace, and really I was sold on that alone.
