After almost a week of practice, we got our powers down quite a bit more. Bella can now protect several others with her shield. We used Edward's mind reading as a test, having one of us think of a number and he had to try and guess it while she tried to block him out of our minds. Since there was no impending Volturi war, she got to train at a less painful and scary method.

Jay can now more accurately control the bursts and even make some shockwaves. He's tried flying with the blasts too, but can't stay up in the air very long. We're working on a theory of continuous small explosions to keep him afloat, but after the first few launches, he's losing his desire to fly. He's much more comfortable on the ground.

As for myself, I can more efficiently move through the shadows and hide myself further away from the actual starting shadow. I also practiced taking Ivar with me into the shadows to hide. He can't see the smoke like I can, but others weren't able to see him while he was with me. So I can bring others with me into the shadows, they just don't know they're there.

We also tried to teleport together. It was really hard and I was afraid I would lose him in a shadow somewhere, but Jay solved that fear for me. Jay shot his air compression explosion right at Ivar, and I grabbed my mate on reflex and teleported us both away from the danger. I then proceeded to beat the crap out of my twin for trying to harm my mate, and had to be emotionally sedated by Jasper and restrained by Ivar and Eleazer in order to calm down and not kill my brother. Fun times.

I called the wolves a few weeks after I changed. My res boys and I had texted plenty, but it was nice to hear their actual voices. I talked to them for a while, and they were begging to see me and my sons. I relented, and invited them over. Ivar had to take the phone away from me and warn them that I am still a newborn, and not to try and set me off at all.

"So, I hear you're not having super self-control like Bella is. That's crazy to think about, you're usually like the epitome of 'chill'." Jared says to me when he gets out of his car. He had stared at me for a solid minute, several emotions flashing across his face, before he finally broke the awkward silence.

"Probably just because Bella's way too tame to have another side to her. Dragon here has always been a fighter, the 'vampies' just gave her claws." Paul adds in jokingly. He was still a little tense, but I could see him making the effort, which speaks a lot about how hard he's trying. He's one of the biggest hot heads I know, so I appreciate him trying to keep our usually roasting and joking going.

"Leave Bella alone. She did fight Jake on day one. Carlie showed me, it was great." I defend my pseudo sister. "But yeah, I've been having a little problem fighting Jay too much, but it's getting better. We can control it enough to no longer fight in the house, but we are sparring every day. I just restarted tai chi again today, maybe he'll join for that, it used to always help him." I say casually, inviting them inside. Two wolves together really stunk, but if they can make the effort to come inside my vampire den, I will make the effort to not wrinkle my nose.

"Where is your brother?" Jared asks, looking around the living room and only seeing Ivar.

"We thought it best to have him go train with Jasper alone during this meeting. Those two together can be a bit much. Add in you two... I value the house too much to risk it." Ivar says in exasperation.

"Damn, Ivar... You look like you could sleep for a week. Regretting your marriage vows yet?" Paul jokes at him.

"Never. Just trying to decide which set of newborns is more exhausting." He smirks at me.

"It's me." I say while raising my hand.

"it's her." My boys say at the same time while pointing at me
