Najib POV:

"Why is the damn car not moving?"

"Sorry sir, there's a traffic jam ahead."

"Returning home and this is what I'm welcomed with?"

"Sorry sir, the traffic won't last long."

"Just shut the hell up and focus on the road, don't piss me any further."

"Sorry, sir."

"Pass me the pack of cigarettes and lighter."

"Sure."

Once I lit my cigarette, I tried to focus my attention back on the magazine, but I couldn't help but wonder why Grandma invited me back when she was much aware I hated being home.

The only person I dared not go against was Grandma, and after being away for five years, she suddenly wanted me home.

How could I refuse her? I just hope all is well. I thought while I caught the magazine's top story.

"THE HEIR TO THE RENOWNED AMINU PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY, IS RETURNING HOME AFTER A LONG TIME. ARE THE RUMORS ABOUT HIS SECRET MARRIAGE TRUE? READ ON PAGE 3 TO FIND OUT."

Going through the article repeatedly, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"Is this some joke or what?" I murmured confusingly.

"My marriage! What nonsense are those reporters publishing?"

"Once I get home, I must sue them for publishing this trash." I hissed angrily shredding the magazine into pieces, after which I tossed them through the window.

"Hey! You can't litter the road like that." Someone yells.

"Mind your f*cking business," I replied winding up the window without sparing the owner of the voice a glance.

"Nuisance everywhere!" I hissed puffing my cigarette.

"And you, why are we still stuck here?" I turned to the driver.

"Sorry, sir, some trucks are delivering goods. That's why the road is blocked."

"Why did you follow the market route? Are there no other routes?"

"Sorry sir, it won't happen again."

"Keep your apology for when I lose my temper and decide to sack you; I give you ten minutes to manoeuvre the car out of this place."

"Sorry, thank you, sir." He mumbles.

"In a few minutes, I will be home, and all these marriage rumours must be cleared."

Habiba's POV:

"So rude!" I sighed as Amina kept a weird look on.

"Is there anything on my face?" I asked.

"No, you're just funny." she laughed.

"Remember, this is not kano where you can freely speak to people and they listen." She added.

"But he could have just replied politely, he didn't need to be rude." I sighed.

"That's Lagos for you, a very busy place where people feel it's their right to litter the environment just for their satisfaction, whereas, they don't know how the environmental cleaners work hard every day to keep Lagos clean." She replies.

"So are the behaviours of the rich; they don't care about anyone but their selves, and the way he rudely answered was offensive," I replied.

"What! Don't say that," Amina shuddered.
