Habiba's POV:

This was the third time I was searching the whole room, and I didn't find it, I couldn't understand how a tangible wristwatch could suddenly go missing.

After scattering everywhere and checking the whole room, I became tired, and I knew Najib would be angrier if I didn't find it, but at this point, my parched throat and fatigued state gave in when I decided to nap.

To my greatest surprise, I woke up at exactly 5 pm, the room was now clean, the opposite of how I left it.

I guess Emma must have cleaned, stretching out of bed, I met Emma and a nurse watching me like they were assigned to guard me.

"Emma, what are you doing here?" I say in surprise.

"The nurse arrived a while ago, so grandma asked me to bring her upstairs." She replied.

"Oh! You should have woken me up."

"The nurse didn't allow me."

"Good evening, nurse; sorry I kept you." I sighed quickly rushing out of bed.

"No worries, it's my job." She smiled while she brought out a first aid kit.

I sat before the mirror while the nurse began to carefully unwrap my bandage, with every roll-off, I felt light pain.

"Your injury is still a bit fresh; just a little cleansing and the ointment prescribed will do the trick; I will seal it to prevent infection." She says while plastering my wound afresh.

"Okay." I sighed.

"While bathing, make sure you don't scrub it or allow water to constantly wet the plaster, and after a week I will come to check if it's ready to be opened."

"Okay, but nurse, I don't think this is necessary; why do you have to stress yourself to come all the way here?  Don't worry, I can handle it myself; after a week, I will open it just as you said."

"Ma'am it's my job, I'm paid to do this, so I will come." She smiled.

This was strange; my injury was no longer a major wound; it was slowly healing, and it barely even hurt, but the nurse was insisting she would be back.

Back in my town, we had injuries worse than this but we were never given this kind of attention, so why this? I thought.

"Ma'am, I'm done; I will see you next week." She smiled, wrapping up her kit; she removed her hand gloves and sanitized her hands.

"Thanks, nurse; Emma, see her to the door."

***

I strolled down to Amina's room since I had nothing to do, and Najib's wristwatch...

I don't even want to think about it, as I don't know what to say to him when he demands it again.

Upon reaching Amina's room, I found the guest room slightly open, and curiosity got the best of me as I walked slowly towards the room and found Najib and Zaitun sitting on the bed, their sitting position was rather odd as her head rested against his chest.

I got tempted to walk in but I couldn't.

Maybe that's how they behave in London, friends of the opposite sex being so cosy?

"Wow!" I gasped at my thought.

In my village, you can't be caught like this without being apprehended especially if you aren't engaged.

I didn't want to continue eavesdropping, but Zaitun's voice got my feet stuck to the floor.

"C'mon Najib, we should go somewhere more private; here at home, we hardly spend quality time together."
