Habiba's POV:
"Hey, good morning."
"Morning, you look extra nice today." He smiled as he walked up to me.
"Really?" I laughed.
"Yep!" He smiled.
I was happy that at least someone, Abdul, noticed and acknowledged I had put extra effort into looking good today, even though Najib, who I dressed up for, didn't notice.
"Why are you in school?" He asks.
"Why shouldn't I be in school?"
"You just got discharged."
"I can't miss lectures because of my wound, and it's just the start of the semester."
"Okay book, bookworm." He chuckles.
"And you, too, you shouldn't be in school. Your bruises are still fresh, and it makes me feel guilty to see them; I'm sorry because of me you got injured." I said, looking at his face closely; it seemed Najib successfully turned his cute face into a punching bag; his face was completely swollen and blue.
"I owe you an apology also, because of m,e you landed in the hospital." He replied cutting my gaze from his face.
Not that what we said was funny but we found ourselves laughing at each other's statements.
"Well since we're the cause for each other injuries, then I suggest we make it up by treating each other to lunch," He said in between his laugh.
"Lunch? Today?"
"Yeah, or do you have other plans?"
"No, we can, I will see you after class, bye." I ran off trailing the others to the lecture hall.

"Introduction to Law 101" Was boldly seen on the projector, but the lecturer's look took away my attention before I could even settle down for the class.
She was a fat short lady who looked in her mid-fifties, but her fashion sense didn't match her age at all.
She was wearing a short knee-length gown that was so tight on her that it revealed the shape of her bloated tummy, which was no less than a pregnant woman.
Her heels were on point, matching her lilac-colored dress, and her hair was braided with a purple and black attachment, so long that its length passed her waistline making her look more of a popstar than a lecturer.
Not to talk about her makeup!
It was obvious that she wasn't light-skinned, as her face and neck skin tone had a clear contrast.
Her face radiated with heavy powder and foundation but still, it wasn't enough to hide the wrinkles on her face. Her foundation, powder, lipstick, eyeshadow, eyelashes all these artificial's made her face glow like a light bulb.
I thought I was the only one who wasn't paying attention to her class but to her look, not until I heard a few guys behind me whispering and laughing.
"Dude, my Grandma needs a makeover from her." Said one of them with a stifled laugh.
"Do you see how she catwalks? Someone needs to tell this granny that she's out of the league; she is an oldie, for God's sake." Laughed the other.
I was never distracted from class, but what could I do? I guess the 10-minute conversation I had earlier with Abdul did cause me the front seat, and now I ended up being a backbencher for the first time, so I had to deal with the side talks coming from every angle.
