Najib's POV:
It was 8:am when I woke up with a splitting headache; checking the time on my phone, I recalled I had a board meeting.
"Shit! I can't believe I'm late, my alarm...
"Oh, No!" I groaned, recalling I left my alarm, I wasn't in my room.
"All because of that village girl I overslept and now I'm late," I mumbled while getting off the bed. I rushed out, and on my way, I stumbled over and landed on the floor.
"Ouch!" I hear her groan.
"You? What are you doing here?" I was shocked to find her lying by my doorstep.
"I'm sorry, are you hurt?" She asks while scanning all over my body.
"Why are you here?"
"Hmm, I slept off apologizing to you last night...
"You slept here?!" How could anyone spend the whole night on this hard floor? I thought.
"Yes, and I realized my mistake. Please forgive me for last night; I promise I will never disobey you again." She pleads on her knees.
"Huh? I don't have time for your drama; I'm already behind time, which is all because of you, and now don't waste the little time I have left." I sighed, trying to get off the floor; she quickly grabbed my feet tightly.
"What the hell? Let go of my feet!"
"Just say you forgive me." She whispered holding on tightly.
"Never, I won't accept your fake apology so release my feet this instant!" I snapped at her, but she refused.
"I said Let go!" I yanked her hands and got on my feet, hurrying off; she followed me in a hurry.
"Stop following me!"
"Please forgive me."
"I don't want to so get out of my sight."
My day, along with my appetite, got ruined because of her persistent pleadings; everywhere I went, she followed me pleading.
While I was in the bathroom having my shower, I could hear her voice.
I walked into my closet. She was there, and now that I was about to have my breakfast, she was still whispering, begging.
"Grands, I will leave now." I pecked her cheeks grabbing a toast to leave.
"Won't you have proper breakfast before you leave?" She asks.
"I took a toast; I'm late, I will have my breakfast at the office," I replied, waving goodbye.
"Make sure you do." She waves back.
My car was already prepared and waiting for me; I quickly got in once I saw Habiba running behind with a food flask.
"Drive faster!" I snapped at the driver.
"Crap! She won't be the death of me." I sighed while diverting my attention to my schedule pad.

Habiba's POV:
"All my pleadings fell on deaf ears, now there's absolutely nothing I can do to make up for my mistake." I sighed joining Grandma for breakfast.
"There is." She smiled.
"Really? What?" I ask curiously.
"Tuwon shinkafa and Egusi soup, Najib loves that a lot; it's his favourite native food, especially when the soup is garnished with lots of dry fish," Grandma says and just the thought of it salivated my mouth.
