Habiba's POV:
Once I opened the letter, a ring fell, to my greatest surprise it was one of the things I adored and always wanted.
"This ring! it's my mom's." I sighed kissing it.
"It's pretty." Amina smiled.
"Yeah, it was her engagement ring from Dad," I replied with teary eyes while opening the note.
"Habibti, you always wanted this ring, right? Now it's all yours, treasure it like the treasure you are."
Love mother.I was already soaking the paper with tears as I couldn't control my outburst, my tears continued to drop.
"It's okay." Amina sighed While patting my back.
"I just...
"Enough of your hugs!" Mother-in-law barges in.
"I thought you both have gotten ready, but no, here you are cuddling each other like newborns," Mother-in-law yelled as she walked in with the beautician.
In a second, I'd squeezed the letter into my dress. I must not find you,t or another chaos will let loose.
"Please make sure my daughter looks extremely pretty." Mother-in-law smiled at the beautician.
"Don't worry she is the bride after all." The beautician replies.
"What?" She laughed. "Not her, my daughter." She points at Amina.
"By the time I return, you both should be ready," she adds as she walks out.
"Phew!" Amina sighed.
"I think you should keep the letter away for now." She whispers.
"Sure."
"Hello, girls! I'm Chelsea, your makeup artist for today." The beautician flashes her teeth as she greets us.
"Nice meeting you." We smiled.
After exchanging pleasantries, Amina sat for her makeup which turned out extremely gorgeous on her.
Adding last touches to her makeup, she wore a black fitted dress that was tight enough to expose her curves.
Her gorgeous red heels matched her purse, polished nails, and her shade of lipstick, her turban cap also added elegance to her complete look.
"How do I look?" she asks while savouring her view before the mirror.
"More than beautiful," I smiled.
"Aww! Thanks." She smiled back.
"I know you will look prettier. Besides, you're already a pretty damsel," she smirks.
"I don't think so." I laughed.
"What type of makeup do you want?" The beautician asked once I sat for my makeup.
"Something simple I guess."
"Nah!" Amina quickly protested.
"Give her Something glamorous, today is your day to shine, c'mon," she scoffed.
"Yeah girl, you need to shine like a diamond for your wedding party." The beautician chips in.
Knowing I couldn't win against two and I lacked the strength to argue, I let them choose my makeup.
And within a few minutes, my face was transformed and beautified for the night.
"OMG! You look like a beauty goddess." Amina squealed as soon as her eyes landed on my makeup face.
