Najib's POV:

"You're here?" Was the first thing she said once she opened her eyes for the past hour that I'd been sitting watching her sleep.

I arrived at the hospital to meet her fast asleep; I was expecting to meet Abdul, then I would have taught him a lesson, but he had gone.

"Did you just arrive?" She mutters.

"What happened, why are you in the hospital again?" I sighed.

"Hmm... She mumbled struggling to sit up and once she did, she slipped her fingers under her pillow and pulled out a wristwatch.

"I found your wristwatch while cleaning, I found it broken so...

She stopped halfway to stare at me  and then she pulled my hand placing the wristwatch on my palms.

"So... I took it... for repair...

"And?" I say, becoming impatient by the way she broke her words into bits.

"I needed to repair it so I contacted Abdul who sent me an address, where I could repair the  wristwatch and I got there with the driver, not knowing they were fraudster, I never knew they were thieves until I gave them the wristwatch...

"So what you're trying to say is that you got in contact with thieves? And they caused you this? I point at the large bandage plastered around her wrist.

"Yes" She nods.

"Are you so gullible, tell me?"

"Huh?"

"I said are you a fool?"

She didn't reply but bowed her head like someone guilty of a shameful act.

"I never knew they were thieves, thieves don't write their identity on their forehead you know." She mumbled.

"Give me the location."

"Why? What do you need it for?"

"I want to find those criminals that did this to you."

"Just let it be."

"Why should I? It's a crime, they need to be punished for this!"

"It's my fault, just as you said, I'm quite foolish for trusting them blindly, I thought they were legit coz their repair shop looked clean but unfortunately they weren't, they tried to rob me, once I realized, I tried to s run from them but they held me, while I struggle to free myself, the pocket knife they were using to threaten me cut my wrist causing me to bleed and after then I can't remember what exactly transpired, it's thanks to God and the driver I escaped, he found me and brought me to the hospital at once."

"They can't get away with this, I won't let them!"

"No, Please, let it be, they are dangerous, even their location looked very dangerous, don't prolong this matter please, let it be." She pleaded further.

"Just give me the location."

"Fine, it's Aje...gu." She stammered struggling to pronounce the name.

"Ajegunle?"

"Yes, that's the place." She says eagerly.

"What! Why would Abdul even give you that address of all places in Lagos? That place is known for notorious thugs and top criminals, but I don't blame you, I blame the fool who gave you the address, he's aware of but he never thought of your safety?"

"It's not his fault...

"You defending him?  And why won't you? He's your lover after all...

"Can you just stop it!" She snapped cutting me shut.
