Habiba's POV:

Time went by as everyone we're engrossed in one thing or the other.

Najib barely stayed at home as he was always busy at the office preparing for his appointment which was fast approaching.

Our marriage was more of a "Share a bed and dining table relationship."

Amina has also been busy with work and preparation for her business launch, she no longer has time to chit-chat as we used to.

And also, thanks to my father-in-law, I will be resuming school in a few months. I'll no longer be idle.

I've also been busy spending most of my time with the books he got for me to prepare against resumption.

And my mother-in-law, since our incident, I made sure to distance myself away from her, and it helped as it seemed she was now off my back.

"Grandma you called for me?" I smiled stepping into her cozy room where I met her watching one of her favorite American shows.

"Yes dear, come and sit." She smiled adjusting for me to sit beside her.

"I can't help but wonder how your relationship with Najib is going." She asked while pausing to stare at me with concern.

But what could I say? I thought as she proceeded.

"I know Najib can be childish,h, but you're more mature. That is why I want you to be patient with whatever attitude he has." She heaved a sigh.

"Do you know what I want from you?" She asks sweetly.

"No." I shook my head.

"A great-grand-child." She smiled making my jaw drop in surprise.

I was speechless at her demand; how can I give her a Great-grandmother when he detest even my presence?

"I know what I'm asking from you is too sudden, but you can take your time. Just grant me the wish of seeing my great-grandchild soon, please." She says while holding my hand.

"Grandma, all is fine between me and Najib, and for your wish, please don't embarrass me by begging; with God's willing, your dream will come true," I replied, giving her false hope.

I had no hope for her dream coming to pass, I can't even imagine being pregnant for him.

"I hope you work towards it," she smiled patting my cheeks.

All I could do was smile at her words in silence; the silence soon turned awkward when I found a topic.

"Grandma, when is the party exactly?" I inquired.

"It's on Saturday and that reminds me, can you get me a pair of Najib's shirts and pants? Our designer is coming to collect his sample to prepare his outfit; as you know, he doesn't have spare time to go for measurement." She sighed.

"Oh, okay." I smiled while heading out.

How will I bring her his clothing when he clearly instructed me to stay away from his things?

But if I say no, Grandma will figure out he had set boundaries landing me into trouble with him.

I found my way back to my room; walking to his closet felt like I was walking into a wild jungle.

I slowly opened his wardrobe with trembling hands, and the first thing I did was study how everything was arranged and kept in order not to leave a trap when I was here.

His clothes were segmented, his pants, belts, wristwatches, shirts, jackets, stockings... everything had its drawer.

Carefully, I removed what I was sent for, and as I was about to shut the wardrobe, a picture fell.
