Habiba's POV:
"Grandma, this's the second time you're checking on me; I'm fine." I smiled.
"Why won't I? Just yesterday you were so ill, and now you're busy draining your energy on these books. Have you taken your medicine?"
"Yes, I have." I smiled.
"Rest for now you can continue tomorrow."
"No Grandma, I need to continue. The exam is in 6 days, and I have a lot to cover."
"I know, but I want you to slow down."
"Okay, ma, and I must say that you just reminded me of my mother; this is the exact way she tells me to slow down whenever I study."
"You miss her right?" She asked softly and I nodded.
"Yeah, I do." I smiled.
"Don't worry, I will plan for you to visit her soon."
"Really?!" I gasped in excitement.
"Yes, but not now, focus on your health and school, and then I will see what I can do." She smiled.
"Thanks, Grandma, I really appreciate it." I laughed, pulling her into a hug. When the door swung open, Amina walked in dressed in a swimming trunk.
"Grandma, I thought you came to fetch her!" She fumed asking as she approached us with a shopping bag.
"Yes, sorry I forgot. Initially, I came to tell you that Amina's friends came to see you, and so I forgot and got consumed lecturing you." She says to me laughing.
"Oh!" I laugh back while turning to Amina.
"What is that?" I point at the bag.
"I ordered you a swimming trunk," she replied and that made me gasp.
I don't wear such type of clothes.
"I should let you girls be; see you later. I want to have my siesta now," Grandma says while she stands up from her seat to leave.
"Have a nice rest," I said to him, and she waved, leaving.
"Amina, why do I need a swimming trunk? I heard your friends are around."
"Yeah, we're having a pool party, and all my friends are eager to see the girl who stole Ya Najib, the love of their life." She winked while unwrapping the swimming outfit from its pack.
It was very revealing.
"Amina, I can't wear this; my legs and thighs will be exposed." I sighed.
"C'mon Habiba, you don't have to be old-schoolish and too holy all the time, and we're all girls, after all; you don't need to cover up what we also have."
"But I won't be comfortable wearing it."
"But you can't swim in this dress, too; your dresses are way too heavy." she sighed.
"Forget about the dress; I can't swim anyways; I still have cold feet."
"Fine! You win, you're very difficult to convince but I will keep the swimming trunks with you in case you change your mind." She fumes dropping the bag carelessly on the bed.
"I'm sorry, C'mon don't be annoyed." I laughed while she maintained a sore look.
After a few minutes of cheering her up with my tickles, she smiled as we found our way to the pool.
"Girlfriends, meet my beloved sister-in-law, Mrs Habiba Najib," Amina announced to her friends excitedly. once they saw me, they had shocking expressions; they seemed impressed, too, as they stared at me like they were seeing something unbelievable.
