Habiba's POV:
The hold-up annoyed me more than ever as I was eager to reach school and meet Abdul.
"Who in the world doesn't exchange contact after several met-ups?" I gasped at my phone while scrolling through my contact list in search of Abdul's contact, I realized I didn't have it.
"You." Amina, seated beside me, smiled.
"And when will this car move out of this place?" I sighed impatiently.
"You seem anxious, what's wrong?" She asked.
"Nothing," I replied still scrolling on my phone, she grabbed the phone away
"Tell me, why are you so eager to see Abdul?" She asked.
"It's just that Abdul had promised to take me to the dean's office before the lecture commenced." I lied.
Lies have slowly turned into a daily affair of mine; without them, I can't survive within this family.
"Then why do you look so disturbed? There's more to it; please tell Me."
"It's nothing." I sighed.
How do I tell you that your mother is the root of my problem now? To add to everything, Najib has started questioning my character.
"You sure?" She asked staring at me closely.
"Yes." I smiled.
"Don't worry, you still got time; it's just 7:20 am; I'm sure you will get into school before 8."
"I hope so, but I don't even have his number," I mumbled.
"Here, I have it," She replied, passing me her phone; I copied his number and saved it.
"Thanks a lot."
"Never mind."
"When is your flight taking off?" I asked staring at her beautiful dress.
"At noon."
"And your returning when?"
"In a week, though I'm not sure, I might add an extra week to be with Amir." She smirks.
"Really? Well, don't do what we won't appreciate." I smiled.
"Don't worry, I won't fornicate," she smirked and I gasped.
"Amina! Do you have control over your tongue?"
"Nope, and besides, it's just a word, but you had to read the meaning into it, and it cringed you up; how is it my fault?"
"Huh? You won't change."
"Nah, not ever." She laughed. "And Since you and Ya Najib are refusing to make me an aunt, I don't mind making you an aunt instead."
"Get married first."
"Oh, I don't need an extra mom who reminds me of that; I will, honey."
"I can't wait."
"So, forget about me; what have you decided on, Zaitun?"
"Honestly, I don't know yet, I have to give it a lot of thought."
"Hmm, okay wha, tever you de,cide you, have my full support."
"Thanks, and I think I will have to get off here."
"Here? Why?" She gasped.
"I don't think I have enough time to waste here. I see the school from here, so I will walk; I'd like to get past the school gate before 8," I replied, getting out of the car.
