Habiba's POV:
It is said that every disappointment comes with a blessing but I never believed it till today.
The way he spoke to me earlier reminds me of the Najib I first met and it made me happy for unknown reasons.
Watching him from a distance was satisfying. He slept soundly, snoring,g, and that made me realize how much sleep he'd missed due to last night and today; he looked exhausted all because of me.
Suddenly, the breeze began to blow, causing the curtains to flap over his face; I rushed out of bed, pulling my drip with me while I shut the windows.
"Najib didn't get to sleep properly, and now that he's finally gotten some sleep, the wind won't let him," I mumbled, closing the windows; I covered him with my blanket, and soon I got lost, staring at his sharp features.
"How does he manage to be so good-looking even while he sleeps?" I reckoned admiring his sleeping face.
"I better not wake him up." I sighed and turned to leave, but I felt him grab my wrist making me lose my posture. While I turned back; I landed flatly on his chest.
"Am I that handsome?" He whispers with his eyes still closed.
"Huh?"
"You heard me, I'm so handsome that you had to come close to my face to look at me?" He says and finally opens his eyes.
"No..." I stammered getting off his chest.
"Then why did you come this close to stare at me?"
"I was pressed and thought you could escort me to the bathroom since I'm still on the drip, but after checking you, I thought you were asleep," I mumbled into each lie I said; how easy was it for me to lie so smoothly?
He didn't seem to believe my lie while he stared at me for a while, and then he spoke.
"I'm awake, why not?" He smiled and lifted me into his arms like I weighed nothing.
I guess his abs weren't just a show-off. I secretly smiled at my thought.
"You don't have to." I sighed, d but he ignored me.
With every step we took to the bathroom, I was tempted to stare at him; I couldn't help it.
It was impossible to be this close and not want to explore.
I didn't even notice when he dropped me; luckily, his gesture made me realize as he pointed at the bathroom.
"We're here." He points at the bathroom door.
"Why do you look lost?" He sighed.
"You've been staring at me, I hope my face is still in place." He says with a lingering smile on his face which got me feeling embarrassed. Was I staring that much? God, how shameless can I be? staring at a man?
I thought. But he's your halal wedded husband, so why not? A voice in my head replied.
"You're lost again?" He smiled.
"Sorry," I say rushing into the bathroom.
"What's wrong with me?" I whispered, gazing at my reflection in the bathroom mirror, my cheeks turned red, and I felt shy.
"Get yourself together; this isn't like you", I said, washing my face thoroughly. I flushed the toilet, pretending to have used it.
"You're still here?" I asked as I got out of the bathroom, not expecting to meet him waiting for me.
"Yes, Let me." He says, trying to lift me again, but I refuse.
"Don't worry, I can walk." I smiled while walking ahead, he pulled me back.
