Attending Paradise Bay Private boarding school.

_

Our school served the best meals so take out was barely an option if not for pizza Fridays. So as I made my way to the cafeteria, I couldn't help but feel annoyed as my siblings who doesn't know the meaning of personal space. We're close both in and outside of our home, seeing as our family or mummy is to be blamed. We all live like best friends with the exception of being annoying, over protective and loved beyond repair.

With my headphone on, I ordered what I wanted and collected my number. 241, that's how many persons got their lunch already and I sighed audibly for being late. I had to rush to the bathroom after class to see if my period came again as I was having the last spotting signs. I could already see cheese patties becoming less as there were something us Paradise Bay kids had the privilege of eating outside Jamaica.

As one of the three lunch ladies called my number, I was off and grinned upon seeing my pattie on the tray with my other orders. Minus the pattie, there was fruit bowl, curly fries with ketchup, deep fried chicken and two slices of green fried plantains. The Thursday special with an additional cake or ice-cream cake that turn down. Mummy has enough of that at home. Thanking her, I moved to get a since chair by the windows but as usual, I was held by my jacket and stopped.

"Aren't you tired of running?" Joyner grinned and I frowned at my elder brother.

"From you, yes."

"Good. Come on before José gets here." He grumbled and I chuckled.

One thing for certain was the need to listen to José. Not because he's the first born, but he's the most loving one who has a list of reasons why we should stick together. Being apart of the circle, or the leader of the elites here at Paradise, he kept family closer than anything else. We do have friends outside but not as much since this place was swarming with gold diggers of both genders.

Our table was at center of the cafeteria, and we had the privilege for fitting all eighteen of us from the circle.

The set up was rather comforting much as the seats. Our lunch room couldn't pass as far as looking like something for a fancy event. The gem like chandelier in the middle of the room was one proof of that while the garden theme décor was another. The seats mahogany wood with a soft cushions to sit and lean back on. The matching mahogany table was another beautiful as it came in may different shapes and sizes. The seating came in a variety of stools, benches and regular chairs. An each table has a flower pots in the center. Mommy really did took the name 'Paradise Bay private school' serious with all decor, themes and equipment.

All school issued devices had a permanent background for an rose filled arch over a lion's head, our school logo. Our school mascot is a roaring lion, a protector of the paradise and all that. Our motto 'Evolved to our fullest potential' those words were in our school song and pledge that we say every Monday and Friday mornings. Prayer was one thing we do everyday before and after school as it was strict. Lastly, there was church. An Adventist church that some of us has to attend on Saturdays and it was basically a bribe as we got rewarded to attend. Winning trips and prices for attendance or even participation.

The dorms were the most secured places that I'm surprised that no one was caught sneaking in as yet. The school rules were strict and with only three suspension leads to a swift expel. No one wants to be kicked out, not when this place came with so many privileges. Every year, the acceptance to attend here gets harder and expensive that our family came up with a scholarship system to kids after they graduate middle school.

"Running again, Jhené?" Summer grinned and I nod, getting seated next to her as the other belongs to José, he's the only one absent but she sure did collect his lunch.
