I know a lot has gone on in the last year with Eminem so I wanted to add a few things to this story so enjoy a few more chapters.
Marshall rushed through his door. He wanted his wife to know exactly what was going on and what he was invited to do. Madelyn looked up as he came into the living room. The triplets had turned two not that long ago. Malakai was four and Maverick was six. Marshall had a huge grin on his face.
"Hey babe," he grinned.
"Hey Marshall, what's got you so excited?" she asked.
"Two things, we are going to the Super Bowl this year and I'm getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."
"Wow, that is incredible babe. What do you mean we're going to the Super Bowl?"
"I got asked to be part of the halftime show so we are all going."
Madelyn was shocked. She stared at Marshall from her seat on the floor. The triplets were all over the place and wearing her out. She wasn't sure how she would handle that at a football game with all five of them. Marshall moved toward her and sat down next to her. She sighed.
"We'll have help, babe. Hailie is coming, Alaina will be there, Nate and Ashley are going to be there. Denaun is coming," he said.
"I just worry about things having three two year olds," she replied.
"Those three two year olds were your idea."
"I do believe you had a part in that as well."
He chuckled. She had been working with their therapists to make sure that they stayed on track with other kids their age. She was worried that they would fall behind. Marshall had faith that his kids were going to be just fine.
"We will have to go out early, but Denaun, Tracey, and Paul will be around to help out. Plus we can always hire someone to go with us to help out with the kids," he said.
"You know how I feel about that," she replied.
"What?"
"Tracey anywhere near our kids."
"Babe, she ain't gonna hurt them."
"Nah, she's gonna give them everything they want because she thinks it will get her in good with their dad."
"Stop, Madelyn. You know who I want and that's all that matters. I don't need any other woman coming into my life and causing drama."
Madelyn rolled her eyes as Marshall smiled at her. She kissed his cheek and got up to go make lunch for the triplets and Malakai. Maverick was at school. She got the kids eating and sat down to eat something herself. Marshall came into the kitchen. He had to get going back to handle some things for another artist that he was helping. He kissed his wife and dropped kisses to the top of each one of his kids heads. She smiled as he walked out.
"I love you," she called after him.
"Love you too," he called back.
She heard the door shut. She finished up with the kids and got the triplets down for a nap. She didn't have to worry about picking up Maverick. Ashley usually picked him up when she picked up her kids. Madelyn settled Malakai with a movie so that he could relax and stay quiet while the triplets slept. She worked on laundry for the entire family. It was almost never ending.
*February 2022*
Madelyn packed up the entire family. They were heading to a rental house for the week. She made sure that she had enough stuff to keep the kids occupied for the week while their dad was at his rehearsals. They were going to be going to the field a few times with him as well. They boarded the flight to fly to California. Madelyn had Matthew on one side of her and Myles on the other. Marshall had Mckynna and Malakai. Maverick was sitting with Denaun. She was glad that her kids were so well behaved. Mckynna fussed during takeoff. Marshall did his best to soothe her. She ended up in her mother's lap. Madelyn gave her a pacifier. She didn't want them to have them but it was all that worked while they were on the flight to get their ears to pop. Marshall took their daughter back into his arms as they were preparing to land.
"You ready for this chaos?" he asked his wife.
"Not even close," she laughed.
The triplets all had pacifiers in their mouths. The two older boys were allowed to chew gum as they landed. Madelyn, Marshall, and Denaun each carried one of the triplets off the plane after they were allowed to leave. Madelyn smiled. They were taken to a vehicle and whisked away to the house. The two older boys stared out the window as the younger three fell asleep. Madelyn was thankful they were sleeping since their schedule was thrown off so much.
"I have to go to the field," Marshall said.
"All right," Madelyn replied.
She planned on getting settled in. He looked at the older two boys.
"I can take them with me," he said.
"All right," she replied.
"You two want to come with daddy?"
Both boys nodded enthusiastically. Madelyn chuckled. Marshall and Denaun lay the other kids down and then headed out with the two older boys. Madelyn took advantage of the triplets sleeping and got them all settled. She was able to relax for a bit while they were sleeping. She was not remotely prepared for the insanity that was going to be going on for them this week while they were here. She was glad that her kids were going to get to experience it though since everyone knew about them. She was used to seeing photos of herself with the kids showing up in magazines. It annoyed her sometimes but she was glad that photographers kept their distance from her and the kids. She was looking at what they were going to do about food for the week when Marshall returned with the kids.
