Madelyn was feeling extremely nervous about this lunch. She was glad that she had solved things with her husband. He watched her get ready to go. He had Matthew on the bed next to him. The little boy was asleep on their bed. He looked down at him. The other two were asleep in their cribs. Matthew was being really clingy lately.

"Am I crazy for this?" she asked.

"Nah baby. It needs to be done," he replied.

"I wish you were going with me."

"I told you that's a bad idea, love. I shouldn't be around him right now. You will have security with you though. So if you need to leave just let them know,"

She nodded. He stared at her for a moment. She was biting her bottom lip. He stood carefully from the bed, trying not to wake his son, and moved toward her. She glanced up at him. He slid his arms around her waist and leaned his forehead against hers.

"I love you Madelyn, nothing in this world will change that," he said.

"Promise?" she asked softly.

"I swear it,"

She nodded and kissed his lips. He smiled at her. She pulled away from him to finish getting ready to go. He sighed.

"You'll be ok with the kids?" she asked.

"They are my kids," he joked.

"I just figure one of these days, Maverick and Malakai are going to have you tied up in a closet somewhere."

He laughed.

"That will be the day," he said.

"Those two are sneaky," she replied.

"I know they are."

Maverick and Malakai had become thick as thieves lately. The two of them were always plotting something and trying to get away with it. They had only gotten worse about it since the triplets were born. She sighed.

"I gotta get going," she said.

"All right, love. Be careful and remember that Tyler will pull you out of there if you need him to," he said.

"Thank you baby."

He kissed her lips again before she walked out of the room. She headed out of the house to the car that was going to take her to this lunch. She didn't want to be behind the wheel and Marshall was worried about the toll this was going to take on her. Tyler was in the passenger seat of the vehicle already. He glanced at her.

"You doing ok?" he asked.

"As good as can be expected," she replied.

"Marshall looks ready to murder someone."

Madelyn looked at the door where her husband was now standing. He looked angry even with Matthew in his arms. She sighed heavily. She knew he was upset over the whole thing because it had caused so many problems in their own household. She was so tired of her biological family already. They made their claims about wanting to make things better with them and her but then they did all of this nonsense. She wasn't sure how much more she could take.

"We're here, Mads," Tyler said.

"Thank you," Madelyn left the safety of the car.

She was greeted by a ridiculous amount of reporters all wanting their pictures and a comment from her. Tyler ushered her into the restaurant. It wasn't much for her to be in tears by the time they entered the establishment. She called Marshall before going to the table.
