"Of course you do, Whit," Alaina laughed.

They all changed into their suits once they had settled in and unpacked. They headed down to the pool. Marshall carried Maverick in his arms. He got quite a few looks as they found seats near the pool. Madelyn had the float they had just gotten for their boy. He loved the water at home so they weren't worried about him liking it there. She sat down on the seat to lather her son up with sunscreen.

"Are we doing the lazy river first?" Hailie asked.
"If that's what you want," Marshall replied.

He pulled his shirt off and followed his wife with their son. The conversations from the car completely forgotten. He watched her for a moment as she entered the water. A huge smile on Maverick's face as his toes touched the water. She got an inner tube for herself to float around on. They put Maverick in his float for a moment. Once Madelyn was situated in her inner tube she took Maverick into her lap. Marshall tossed the float up to their seats before joining them.

"This was definitely worth the drive," he said.
"I have good ideas sometimes," she laughed, as their son kicked his feet in the water.

Maverick was sitting on her stomach with his feet on either side. Marshall looked at her funny.

"What?" she asked.
"Should he be sitting on you like that? It won't hurt the baby?" he asked.
"He is fine."
"You sure?"
"Yeah I am sure. I am ok to carry him and everything else right now."
"You seen the doctor yet?"
"Thursday I did."
"So that's where you went?"

She nodded. She wanted to enjoy this vacation. Her man worked way to hard and deserved to relax as well. She looked at him. The girls had already gone ahead of them.

"Please don't let this thought consume you. We are supposed to be relaxing and enjoying this vacation," she said.

He nodded. They lounged around the pool for a few hours before Maverick started to get fussy. Marshall looked at his watch. He was sat next to his wife in the chairs when some kid walked up to him.

"Hey, aren't you Eminem?" the kid asked.
"Nope, but I get that a lot," he said.
"You really really look like him."
"Well thanks kid."

The kid turned beet red and ran off. He glanced at Madelyn. She was trying really hard not to laugh. They decided to rent a cabana the next day. It would give a little more privacy to them. He knew that he would probably get more people coming up to him during the week. He could play it off as long as the girls weren't around because no one knew about Madelyn or Maverick.

"Where are the girls? His problem is that its almost 8pm and he is hungry," she said about their son.
"There they are," he pointed.

They gathered up their stuff and headed back up to their room.

"Let's shower and find some food," he said.
"Sounds good," the girls said, heading off to their rooms.

Madelyn was already preparing to just take Maverick in the shower with her.

"Babe," Marshall said.
"What?" she asked.
"I got him,"
"You sure?"
"Yeah. You don't need to deal with a grouchy, squirmy kid in the shower."

She rolled her eyes but handed him off to his dad. They were headed down to eat less than an hour later. He had pacified Maverick with a few toddler snacks. They walked across the pool to get to the restaurant for dinner.

"Dad, this place is incredible," Whitney gushed.

He had to admit that it was a great place.

"Up by the registration building, they rent out jet skis," Madelyn said.

Marshall's eyes lit up like a kid at Christmas. She chuckled. She had figured that he would be excited about that. She had also scheduled his massage that he wanted.

"We are so doing jet skis," he said.
"You and the girls are. Mave and I are gonna play in the sand," she replied.
"Madelyn."
"I want you to have fun."

He pouted at her. She laughed. His phone went off. She sighed heavily. He answered it.

"What up?" he asked.

He got up to leave the table to talk. She watched him go, wondering who he was talking to. This was supposed to be a family thing. She figured it was a studio issue or an artist issue calling him.

"Madelyn, we are getting another sibling," Hailie asked.

Madelyn nodded. She was worried about what they thought about the situation.

"I think it's great," Alaina said.
"Really?" Madelyn asked.
"Yeah, hopefully it is another boy. Plus Maverick won't be super spoiled if he has a sibling close to his age to play with."

She nodded. Marshall rejoined the table. Madelyn glanced at him but said nothing about his call. He spent the rest of the meal texting on his phone. After dinner, she scooped up their son and walked back to the room without a word to him. He trailed after them all, still texting.

She put Maverick to bed in the crib before getting herself ready for bed. Marshall was sitting on the bed in their room, still in his phone. She lay down, ignoring him.

"What is your problem now?" he asked.
"I thought work was supposed to stay at home while we were on vacation," she said.
"This shit can't wait. I can't just drop everything and pretend none of it exists just because we are fuckin vacation."
"Fine, I'm going to bed. Can you take that shit elsewhere?"
"You jealous?"
"Of what? That my husband can't go a week without someone blowing up his phone when he is supposed to spending time with his family? No, completely not jealous. I am glad I have the time to spend with our son and get to watch him grow up. Sad that you choose to miss it."
"Fuck you Madelyn. You sound like Kim right now."
"No fuck you Marshall. We only ask for a damn week and you can't even give us that. I am not angry nor am I jealous. I am extremely sad for you."

He rolled his eyes.

"Then why did you come?" he demanded.
"Because we fuckin miss you," she snapped.

She got up and walked out. She went to the room their son was in. He was sound asleep. She lay on the extra bed in the room and attempted to find sleep.
