AN: Meant to write this yesterday on my actual birthday but my phone was being ridiculous and I had too much going on to be able to go grab the computer. I have the computer today so now it's on to the story.

Marshall had kept things hidden as he planned out his wife's birthday. He wanted to make sure that she knew just how appreciated she was in their household. He walked into the kitchen where the older boys were eating breakfast. Madelyn glanced over at him. He smiled and kissed her cheek. Things hadn't been going well in Michigan and they were on the verge of another lock down. Marshall knew that it was messing with his wife but he still wanted to make the day special. It was hard having a birthday in November. Her birthday was just over a month after his was.

"How'd you sleep babe?" he asked.

"Good," she eyed him suspiciously.

He rolled his eyes.

"I thought I was the one with trust issues," he joked.

"I just know how you are," she replied.

"No faith."

"Nope not today."

He laughed. He slid his arm around her and kissed her lips. The boys groaned and covered their eyes making their parents laugh. Marshall looked at his oldest son.

"You won't always think it's gross," he said.

"He better think it's gross for a long time," Madelyn replied.

"Very true,"

Maverick laughed at them both.

"I got a girlfriend dad," he said.

"How you got a girlfriend?" Marshall asked, "You never leave the house."

"Her name's Calleigh. She's in my class."

"Boy you ain't even been to school for real at this point."

"So."

Madelyn snorted at them both. The two of them were insane. Maverick had been talking about this little girl for weeks now and Marshall had apparently missed it. Madelyn had talked to the little girl's mother about getting them together once everything settled with Covid-19. Marshall looked over at his wife.

"You know about this?" he asked.

"Yeah I do, he's been talking about her for like three weeks now," she said.

"How did I miss that?"

"Who knows?"

Marshall laughed. They went to get the triplets when they began fussing. She got their breakfast ready for them as they sat in their high chairs.

"What do you want to do today babe," he asked.

"Nothing really. I am down to just relax all day," she said.

"You sure?"

"I want to watch the new Kevin Hart later tonight after the kids are in bed but other than that I'm just up for a relaxing day."

He nodded. Myles shrieked in his high chair. He was obviously ready for his food. She gave them each some breakfast. It kept him quiet as he shoved food into his mouth. She looked at him and shook her head.

"Myles Bennett Mathers, you are going to choke yourself," she sighed, moving over toward him to slow him down.

He growled, making her laugh.

"Mama ain't trying to do the hiemlich today, young man," she said.

Marshall shook his head.

"You sure we got kids and not puppies?" he asked.

"I am beginning to wonder," she said.

Myles definitely had that Mathers attitude. Madelyn shook her head. The babies finished their breakfast and she got them cleaned up.

"Mama," Maverick said.

"What baby," she asked.

"Happy birthday."

"Thank you handsome."

"Welcome."

Maverick ran from the room and went to play. Malakai ran over and hugged her leg before running after his brother. She just shook her head and chuckled. Marshall pulled his wife into his arms and kissed her lips.

"Happy birthday beautiful," he said.

"Thank you, babe," she replied.

He kissed her again, a little deeper this time. She put her arms around his neck until Matthew screeched from the high chair. She laughed as she pulled away from her husband. He moved to help her with the rest of the triplets. They sent them on their way into the play room. Marshall grabbed her again. She glanced at him.

"I love you, girl," he said.

"I love you too," she replied.

"You mean more to me than you will ever know,"

She smiled at him. He let her go so they could go into the playroom with the kids. They were there to keep an eye on them and keep the kids in line. Maverick was sitting at a desk in the corner of the room on his zoom call for his kindergarten class. Madelyn's birthday was on a Thursday and that meant that her son had class. He was busy working on it all. She had to help with some things but a lot of it he was able to do himself. She was able to sit back with the other kids while he did what he needed to do.

"Babe," Marshall said.

"What?" she asked.

"Who is this little girl that our son is so obsessed with?"

"Go peek at his zoom. She's on there. She's a cute little thing."

Marshall felt like a creeper but he did it anyway. He just wanted to know who his son's friends were so that he could keep an eye on who was around him. Madelyn was watching her husband trying not to laugh at him. He was trying to stay out of the camera view but still see who was in the boy's class.

"Daddy, my teacher likes you," Maverick said suddenly.

Marshall's eyes widened. Madelyn burst out laughing at him. Maverick grabbed his father's arm and pulled him into the camera view. Marshall walked away from his son a few moments later and shook his head. Madelyn looked at her husband who was now beat red.

"I wasn't expecting that," he said.

"Yeah?" she asked.

"Nope."

She laughed. They spent the day relaxing. Marshall ordered dinner in that night so that his wife didn't have to cook. He was excited to give her the gifts that he had gotten for her. The boys were excited to give her the things that Marshall had let them order for her as well. He had basically turned his boys loose and let them pick things out on their own. He wasn't even completely sure what they had ordered. That had him a bit nervous but they were so excited that he was going to let it go.
