With much difficulty, I opened my eyes. Stretching all my lazy muscles, I glanced at the clock that's sitting peacefully on the bedside cupboard. It's 6 in the morning. See, I woke up early.
Proud of my achievement, I rushed into the bathroom.
Finishing all my chores and freshening up I made my way downstairs. Maa is in the kitchen and my Papa is still in the puja room (Room dedicated for offering prayers to God).
Kissing my Maa a good morning, I grabbed my coffee cup and got settled on the couch in the living room and grabbed the newspaper. I slowly turned the pages and then a headline caught my eyes.
WHO IS THE NEXT CEO?
With a photo of Prakash Deshmukh.
Prakash Deshmukh, one of the top most self made billionaires in India. I admire him a lot. Not just because of his ideas or deals but also for his sassiness. Want to know? Let's read this article.
Journalist: Heard that you cracked a deal with the London steel group.
Prakash: Yeah! Thanks to my team.
Journalist: This deal is going to increase your net worth.
Prakash: That's why I signed the deal.
Journalist: Well sir. Recently everyone has one question in their minds. About the next CEO of Deshmukh Industries. Who might it be?
Prakash: Am I not efficient enough to continue?
I laughed at this. That's what I love about this man.
Journalist: That's not the case, sir. Well… you might retire soon…
Prakash: I'm too young to retire…
Chuckling, I closed the paper. There are many incidents like these with him. Once I was watching an interview of his. That was the first time I laughed out loud watching an interview of a leading businessman.
Reporter: Looks like your daughter is into hiding?
Prakash: Really? I don't know that.
Reporter: I mean… umm… we haven't seen her lately. What is she doing now?
Prakash: Minding her own business.
"I hadn't thought that you would be this early." My father's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I shrugged, "You said you need to talk. Something important."
Nodding slowly he flopped down on the couch opposite to me and sighed, "Have your breakfast first. We can talk then."
What the…!? Something is wrong. I can tell it from the seriousness in his eyes.
"Papa, just spill it out." I was too eager to hear it out already.
But then after hearing him…. I understood that it would have been better if I hadn't heard him.

Stretching all my muscles lazily, I turned to my left side to encounter the most beautiful sight of my life. My baby boy, my only reason to live is smiling at me.
"You already woke up, baby." I asked and he nodded his head.
I took him into my arms and peppered him with kisses.
"You're an early bird unlike your mother." I said and he nodded again. Well, just like a toy, he nods most of the time. Whenever he nods I feel like he completely understands everything I say but I don't know how far he understands.
