In a blink of an eye, a week passed and Jai was still in custody. I don't understand what crimes he has done to be held in in there and I don't understand how long the authorities are planning to inquire him. Isn't a week enough? And the most powerful men of my family are unable to bring him out. How funny, right? This past week I met Jai once. I hadn't mentioned to him about his secret signatures though because he would be furious and he would be dead scary when he becomes furious.

And in this past week, Adiraj hasn't uttered a word other than Papa. I'm really a bit disappointed but it's alright. At least he continued calling for his Papa. It means that his voice won't stop here, right and when he kept on asking for Jai, I don't know how I could answer him. He even caught a fever from crying continuously for Jai. 

And in this past week, Neeraj Jeth, Harsh and I kept an eye on all the activities of Neelima. 

Neeraj Jeth dug into her connections and activities at the company. Neelima has at least one from each department and each branch in her pocket. She even played some dirty little pockets to have them on her side. On behalf of Jai, she attended many meetings, she met with many of the clients whom she was able to manipulate. Neeraj Jeth relentlessly met with all the clients again. He got to know that once the deal was finalised and agreement was signed, Neelima had specified certain changes on behalf of Jai and replaced the documents. Considering that they are beneficial to them, the clients have greedily accepted them and Neelima took some benefits out of them. Neeraj Jeth also identified some loyal employees of branch companies which are under Jai's control and got to know that Jai indeed has not been actively participating in branch affairs recently. It has been Neelima who is coordinating on behalf of him. With the help of them he identified the key persons who are involved with Neelima. 

Harsh has dug into Neelima’s affairs which are external to the company. Neelima's parents are from a hard working background who used to shed their sweat and blood for meeting their ends. On the other hand, Neelima has some other side businesses from which she is gaining money. She has some connections with the company competitors to whom she sold certain trade secrets. With the help of Jai's NGO, she introduced her people into the company. With the help of them she expanded her connections throughout the company which helped her in indulging into fraud. Since those people were referred by Jai and in one way or the other came under the control of Jai, he was being suspected. Harsh has checked her bank details and found them cleaned. He then looked into her proxy accounts which were stuffed with loads of funds. Poor her, she knows to cover her bank account but not her face. 

And those fake suppliers and fake customers were the shell/dummy companies incorporated by the key persons of the company who are involved in fraud. It's a good thing that they were not the person who filed a complaint against Jai, otherwise I would have shared them into pieces. 

Gathering all the evidence, we placed them before our lawyers who are discussing the further course of action. All of us have gathered in Dad's study room. All of us as in .. Raghuveer dad, Raghuram dad, Papa, Deepak papa, Neeraj Jeth, Dhiraj, Harsh, our lawyers and I.  

“That b**ch!” Harsh screamed, banging in the table, “Haven't I told you that she is trouble from the start? He should have fired her when I told him to do so.”

“Language, Harsh.” Deepak papa scolded. 

“My dear old man, don't you dare try to control me now.”

I just rolled my eyes, “So when will they release Jai?”

For hours, we have been discussing everything but not the point when Jai will be released. I'm becoming impatient with each passing second. 

“First we need to submit all the documents before the authorities tomorrow morning.” Our lawyers told the same thing again. 

“And then…” 

None of them answered. 

I gritted my teeth, “And then wait for them to go through the evidence. Take all of the responsible people into custody. Inquire them. Confirm that Jai is not guilty and then they release him, right?”

“There are certain procedures, Mrs. Dixit…” Our lawyers started. 

“The hell I care about those procedures.” I screamed at the top of my lungs, “My husband has been held in custody for the past week…. That too for the mistakes he hadn't committed and you want me to wait even more?”

“Advi! Please calm down.”

At my Papa's voice, I turned to him and pointed a finger at him, “Tomorrow!! Jai must be here. Right in this house! Right in front of my eyes.” I hissed. 

“Advi! Please calm down first. We need to think about all the possibilities.” He stated. 

“What all the possibilities?” I gritted, “That stupid husband of mine has specifically requested the authorities to not take any of his team members into custody. He declared that he will shoulder the responsibility. That's how blindly he has been trusting them. And here, you want me to sit back and wait until you submit all these evidences and prove them guilty? Nah! No chance.”

I turned to Raghuram Dad, “You are going to file the complaint against all of those people who are involved in the fraud.”

I then turned towards our lawyers, “I don't know how and what you are going to do and I don't care either. The first thing in the morning, all of them should be taken into custody just like how they have taken away Jai.”

I then addressed my Papa, Raghuveer dad and Deepak papa, “You boast yourself that you are powerful, right? And about the connections you have in the department? I don't care whatever the strings you pull, none of them should walk away freely. Especially Neelima. Because of her, my husband is in custody now. Because of her, my baby boy has turned into a crying mess. She needs to pay for every tear he shed. You better remember that.” Considering Neelima’s parents, I feel bad for doing this to them but I'm not sorry, my husband is more important to me. 

Then I turned towards Harsh, “None of the evidence should be missed. Their bank statements. The documents that prove their connections. The illegal assets they gathered. Each and every detail.”

Then towards Neeraj Jeth, “I hope you're keeping an eye on them. None of them should slip from your hands.” 

I then addressed everyone, “Jai should be here tomorrow.”
