~~Advika~~

I sat there nervously in the chair placed in front of the doctor's desk while he was checking with Adiraj. It is indeed Adiraj who spoke out. He called out for his papa. It really took me a good 5 minutes to digest that fact. With his single word, I turned into a crying mess. Joy burst into me immediately. My baby boy really spoke out.

Right now sitting in this chair, I could feel various emotions dancing within me. Joy that my baby boy spoke out. Nervous that it might just be a temporary one. Sad that Jai isn't here to witness it. Fear wondering what is going on with Jai. As soon as I came out of monetary shock that Adiraj uttered a word, I immediately rushed him to the hospital leaving the situation at home. I just hope that we can find the solution to bring back Jai immediately.

“Now, now. Who is going to eat the candy? You or me?”

At the doctor's voice I turned back to find him entering the room with Adiraj in his hands. Seeing me, Adiraj jumped into my arms.

“Papa!” He called out again crying silently. I couldn't stop the tears that welled up in my eyes. Kissing my baby boy again I hugged him tight, “Papa is at home, baby. We will go to him now.” I tried to calm him down.

“He is perfectly alright.” The doctor said, sitting in his seat.

“Is it? Is it a temporary one?” I asked.

He shook his head, “No. Also checking up with his past records, it is just a case that he is having slow functionality. That's it. Now after hearing the situation from you, I think he might have felt that his father is being taken away and he needs to call for him. That made his voice come out and once it happened there won't be any further problem but it might take a bit of time.”

I breathed a sigh of relief. At last he is speaking and he will. That's enough for me.

“Please continue the medication.”

Thanking him, I exited the hospital. During our ride back, Adiraj kept on calling for him. Should I be overjoyed that he is speaking or should I be worried that he can't find his Papa when we go back. Somehow or the other we rushed back to the house. There are still so many people scattered here and there. Mom and Anu are in the living room anxiously waiting for us.

“What did they say?” Mom asked taking Adiraj into her arms.

“It's a good sign and he is going to be alright. They told us to continue with the medication.”

“Haye Ram!” Mom sighed, “At least something good has happened.” She said, stroking Adiraj's head who was still crying silently. His eyes were swollen and his face had completely turned red.

“Mom, let me put him to sleep.” I said taking him back into my arms and walking towards our room. As soon as we stepped inside Adiraj again kept on calling for Jai.

“Papa!”

I placed him in the middle of the bed, “Baby, Papa has gone out with his friends.”

He just blinked.

“You don't know friends, right?” Of course, he doesn't have any friends yet, right?

“Friends are people whom we play with. They are not from our family. Papa has gone out with them to play with them. He will be back soon.”

He again blinked. He then climbed down from bed and grabbed my phone and handed it to me, “Papa.”

“You want me to call Papa?”

He nodded. Nervously I dialled his number but it rang in our room only. He didn't take his mobile with him, right?

“Se,, it's here only. It means that he will be back soon. Now come here.” He slid into my arms, “Now be a good boy and sleep for a while, ok? Papa will be back by the time you wake up.”
