“Mumma.” My baby jumped onto me as soon as I stepped inside our home.
“Baby, what did you say?” I asked.
“Mumma.” He repeated.
“You heard it too. He really said that?” I asked Jai. He nodded.
Joy burst into me and I cried holding him. I prepped him with kisses while he giggled. Now, I could hear his giggles too. Yes, I can. Holding him tight to me, I cried hard.
After staying in hospital for a day, we were discharged. Deepak papa took Harsh home and we too came back. Our parents first performed so many rituals claiming to remove the evil eye that has fallen on both of us. Then they filled me in with so much food saying that I had lost so much of weight. Only once they felt satisfied with everything, they left me and we eventually walked into our room.
I quickly changed my clothes and flopped ok bed with my baby in my arms, “Baby, you need to speak all other words also, okay?” I said, placing him on my lap. He nodded obediently.
“You have been missing your Papa and Mumma, right?” He nodded.
“Now, we will take leave and stay with you for a few days, okay?”
Clapping, he grinned wide. I then hugged him to me and started patted him to sleep. Soon, Jai too flopped on the bed beside and pulled us into our arms.
“How are you feeling?” He asked.
I nodded, “Better.”
“And… about all the other things.” He asked, hesitatingly.
I know what he is referring to. To Viraj. Even I thought that I would be agitated and depressed but I'm calm. I'm really calm. I always that I hadn't taken care of Viraj in his last days. I felt guilty about that but knowing that it's actually someone else's plan, it relived me if my thoughts.
I also often felt guilty thinking that Viraj might consider that I'm cheating on him by marrying Jai and being with him but now… Viraj itself told me to take care of Jai, right? That means that he accepted us. He is not angry with me.
I don't know whether these thoughts are correct or not but they made me feel light. Really really light and also felt like a huge burden has been lifted up.
“Whatever it is… of you really want to share… please feel free to speak out, okay?” Jai said and I nodded, smiling at him.
“I also have something to share with you.”
He then grabbed his phone and tapped it a few times and forwarded it to me. It is a photo. A wedding photo to be precise.
“Who are they?” I asked.
“You hadn't recognised her?”
I looked at the photo carefully. It's… it's her.
“She got married?” I looked at Jai in surprise.
Smiling, he nodded, “This is Kunal.” He said, pointing to the bride groom.
“You know him?” I asked.
Jai nodded, “She have a brother and he has a best friend. His name is Kunal.”
I hummed, “She married her brother's best friend. When did you got to know this?”
“On the day you went missing. Kunal visited me in the office and shared this with me. You know what happened actually?”
“What?” He placed his phone back on the bed side table and leaned against the headboard, pulling me to him, “She was originally arranged to marry someone but on the day of wedding, the bride groom’s relatives made a fuss that she has a relationship before marriage leading into which the marriage hot cancelled.”
“What?” I screamed.
He nodded.
“Are they still people like that? How can they…. God!! Having a relationship is a general thing and it has to their personal thing. This is why I hate relatives. They have nothing good to do except to poke their noses in others business.”
“Ok ok. Don't get excited.” He said, rubbing my arms. I just hmphed.
“To save the image, her brother asked Kunal to step in and marry her.”
I hissed, “How difficult it might be for them.” Dammit!! Why has to she face all of this?? What wrong has she even done?
Jai chuckled, “It is definitely not difficult for him.”
“Why?”
“Kunal loves her a lot.”
“Really?” I asked curiously.
Jai nodded, “He has been in love with her since ages but being her brother's friend, she always treated him as equal to her brother only.”
I hissed again, “Haye!! Why it has to happen like that??”
Jai hummed, “But she like him always. As a person and an equal to her brother, though but I believe Kunal can change her feelings with his love patience.”
“I hope so too.” I really really hope for it. She too deserves the best, right?
“You can rest assured now, I think?” I asked.
“You are not worried or jealous of it?” He asked.
I shook my head, “It's me after all who came in between you.”
“Advi… don't start with this again.”
“Ok ok. Let's not discuss about this anymore. I just hope there won't be anymore twists with us.”
Jai nodded, stroking my head, “I hope too. I'm tired of everything already. I just want to have a normal and peaceful life with my, Mrs. Dixit.”
“Your Mrs. Dixit?”
“Why, aren't you?” He asked.
I chuckled, “Only if you are my Mr. Dixit.”
“Indeed I am.”
We both chuckled.

The End
***********************************
Hello my lovelies,
With this I'm officially marking the end of Tangled.
Firstly, thank you so much for being here with me till this point. It's my fault to drag the story this long. What can I say, even Tangled too faced many ups and downs and twists and turns along with my life.
Secondly, because of time constraints, I had to write up the last few chapters hurriedly and lost them. Just hope that I haven't disappointed you too much. I know I disappointed you a bit, though.
Thirdly, my life has been taking so many turns regarding my career and future. So I don't want to drag Tangled even mrke and mess it up.
Fourth, there are actually many more scenes which I wrote between Jai, Advika and Adiraj but thinking that the story is being dragged unnecessarily, I had to delete them all.
But I'll share them as bonus scenes over the period of time because there aren't much more scenes for them as a couple due to story constraint na.
Ok... Now I'll stop talking.
Signing off for now...
Yours...
Sanju....
