Diego: no. You're not coming.
You: and why's that?
Diego: y/n my whole family is going to be there
You: and? What's the problem?
Diego: we can't be seen together. What are they gonna think?
You: doesn't matter. WE know we're not together.
Diego: yeah but do THEY know? You know how my mom is. She's not going to drop this. Ever.
You: I don't have a problem with your family. So I don't see what the problem is. If they ask we'll just say we're friends or whatever.
Diego: and what's the excuse gonna be for why we were together tonight?
You: we bumped into eachother at a cafe?
Diego groaned
Diego: no this is so weird. You're staying.
You: you don't get to make the decision for me
Diego: y/n I'm doing it for your own good. Stay. Besides I don't need my family telling me to get back with you and that I fucked up.

Diego rolled his eyes

He walked out of the room with you following behind him

He opened the front door

You rolled your eyes grabbing his arm

Then you saw car headlights turn off in front of you and Diego. Joao walked out of the car closing the door and looking at you

You: Joao
Diego: this is my cue to go
He took his keys out of his jeans and unlocked his car
Joao: what's he doing here?
You: Joao I'm sooo sorry to do this but we're kind of in a rush. I have to get somewhere asap something happened.
Joao: y/n what the fuck?
You: I'm sooo sorry. We'll have to talk another day
You walked over to the passenger side of Diego's car and opened it
Diego: uh uh cierra la puerta
Joao: y/n, what? I'm so confused?
You: I reallyyyyy have to go. Sorry.
You got inside Diego's car and closed the door
Diego: no no. Vete con tu amorcito.
You: shut up and drive let's go.
Diego sighed
Diego: I fucking hate you sometimes
He pulled out of the drive away leaving Joao standing there next to his car
Diego: you're a bitch for leaving him there you know?
You: I didn't do it on purpose. I'll talk with him tomorrow
Diego: will you?
You: yeah
Diego: aren't you going with Kevin tomorrow?
You: I'll make time for him. Besides don't you hate me being with joao
Diego: I don't really care what you do
You: yeah right. I could be getting fucked by joao right now but I'm not. Why? Because I chose to accompany you.
Diego: I didn't ask you to do it
You: you didn't have to
He gripped the steering wheel and drove towards the hospital as you texted joao

Joao I'm sooo sorry for leaving you there. But Diego's brother got into a car accident and I have to be there

you have to be there?

Well I've known his family for a while and I still care about them. But there nothing going on between us I swear

Alright. We can arrange another time
to talk I guess. Hope he's okay

Diego: who are you texting?
You: Joao
Diego groaned and combed his hair back
You: what?
Diego: nothing out the phone down
You frowned as you guys pulled up to the hospital. Diego parked and you both got out quickly running inside.
Diego: leave the talking to me. Don't say a word.
You: okay?
You guys walked inside and went to the 11th floor. The elevator doors opened and you both walked into the waiting room. All of Diego's family was there.
Mary: Diego, mijo!
She got up and cupped his face kissing his forehead
Diego: hola ma.
Mary: Que bueno que ya estas aquí. No nos han dicho nada los doctores sobre Mauro.
Diego: pero que fue lo que le pasó?
You stood there awkwardly behind him fidgeting with your rings
(Mauro is Diego's dad and Mauro Jr is his brother HAHAHA just in case you guys get confused, because they have the same name)
Mauro: y ella? Quien es?
Everyone turned to look at you and Mary pushed Diego slightly to get a good glimpse of you.
You: hola, como están?
You stretched your hand out for mary to shake but Diego pushed it away.
Diego: eh es una amiga
Mauro: amiga? O novia? Ya hace falta que pongas los pies en la tierra y te consigas una novia diego. Ya tienes 22 ańos. No eres un nińo.
Mary: si, una novia como y/n. Uy como la quería. Era una buena muchacha. Lastima que lo echaste a perder
She hit him gently in the back of the head and you smiled

You laughed

Your eyes widened

She pulled out her phone and went on the victors secret Instagram to show you their recent post where they announced you were going to be leading for their parade. An image of you displayed on the post. Mary and mauro both walked over to look at her phone.

You nervously laughed
You: sorpresa?
You expected her to be harsh on you but instead she hugged you.

You: muy bien.
You smiled
Mary: cuanto tiempo sin vernos!

You laughed
You: qué gusto volverlos a ver

She rolled her eyes at Diego
Mary: porque no quisiste decir que era y/n?
Diego: porque iban a causar un escándalo

Your eyes widened
You: oh umm-
Mauro: ya regresaron?
Mary gasped

You turned to look at Diego who had his hand over his face
You: emmm no.
You frowned and they groaned
Mary: ayyyy nooo. Pensé que ibas a decir que si
You: no, lo siento
Mauro: no te disculpes. Diego es el que debería disculparse contigo por todo lo que te hizo
Mary: exacto
Mauro: pero qué haces aquí? Porque andan juntos?
Diego: okay, ya déjenla en paz
