Cinthia: Joao told me about him of course.
You: Joao?
Cinthia: Yes. The day you ended things with him he came crying back to me. And he mentioned some Diego guy.
You: Why the fuck would he tell you about Diego? It makes no sense.
Cinthia: it does actually.
You: well Diego and I aren't anything. He's just a player on the team my dad coaches.
Cinthia: you sure y'all haven't fucked yet? I mean, if I'm being completely honest with you it looks like he has a big-
You: what the fuck? No.
You unlocked your car
Cinthia: Mmm guess not then.
You: was that it? Or is there something else because I have places to be.
Cinthia: there's one more thing. I've been wanting to give you this. And since I just so happen to bump into you. Here you go.
She stuck her hand out holding an envelope. You grabbed it from her hand
You: what is it?
Cinthia: an invitation
Brianna stood next to you to see what it was as you opened it. You pulled out a card inviting you to a baby shower. "YOU'RE INVITED TO CINTHIA AND JOAO'S BABY SHOWER" You looked up at her.
You: you're inviting me to your baby shower?
Cinthia: yes! The very famous y/n definitely had to be invited.
You ripped the invitation in front of her face and threw it to the ground.
You: don't count on me being there
You turned towards your car and got in, Brianna following after you. Once inside you watched her from your rear mirror drive away laughing. You hit your steering wheel.
You: SEE? YOU STILL THINK JOAO IS LYING?
Brianna frowned
Brianna: ..no
You: I swear she loves making my life shitty!
Brianna rubbed your back
Brianna: I'm sorry y/n.
You: it's fine. I'm leaving today so that's good. I'll be away from both of them.
Brianna: Mhm.
You pulled out of the parking lot and drove towards the kids school.
Brianna: soooo
You turned to look at her
Brianna: what's up with you and Diego?
Your eyes focused back on the road to avoid eye contact with her
You: pfft nothing.
Brianna: you sure?
You: yeah, why?
Brianna: then why does he keep getting brought into this?
You shrugged
You: if only I knew.
Brianna: I feel like you do know though
You: uh uh I don't
Brianna: has something happened between the 2 of you?
You: no. I don't even talk to him.
Brianna: hmm. Well I don't know all of this sounds a bit weird to me.
You: Joao and Diego had some unfinished business or something going on. So that's why they don't like eachother. I have nothing to do with it.
Brianna: did you ever ask Joao what it was?
You: no. But I asked Kevin.
Brianna: and what does Kevin have to do with this?
You: oh apparently he was in this whole little situation as well. But he didn't want to tell me.
Brianna: I say you ask Diego about it then
You shrugged
You: I dont know
Brianna: I feel like you're hiding something from me
You: me?
Brianna: yea YOU
You chuckled
You: no. Like what?
Brianna: I don't know. But I feel it.
You: nope. All good here.
You guys arrived at the school.
You: me esperas aquí? Orrrr
Brianna: I'll wait here.
You: okay
You got off closing the door and heading inside the school.
Receptionist: hello! How are you?
You: good, thank you for asking. And you?
Receptionist: I'm doing well. How May I help you?
You: I'm coming to pick up 3 students.
Receptionist: okay. What are their names and grade.
You gave her their names and grade.
Receptionist: okay. I'll call them down.
You: thank you.
She grabbed the phone next to her dialing the numbers of the kids classroom. After a while the kids came down to the main office and once they saw you their faces lit up.
Karla: Y/N!!
She ran to you and you carried her
Lucciana: YOU CAME!
You: of course!
Guille: y mi tío diego?
He looked around
You: Ehh Diego no vino.
Guille: awwww. I wanted to see him.
You: otro día si?
Lucciana: porque viniste por nosotros?
Karla: sii? Where is mom and dad?
You: well since it's my last day here I wanted to take you guys out for ice cream. What do you say?
They all nodded yes.
You: okay let's go.
You guys went back to the car.
Brianna: hi guys! How are you?
All: good!
You drove to the ice cream shop and got ice cream with them. Afterwards you guys went to the park and lastly to your house. The kids had a blast hanging out with you.
Brianna: Uhh aren't you dropping me off at my house first?
You: nope. You're coming with me to my house.
Brianna: I am?
You: yeah, apparently my dad has a surprise for me. And well I kinda have a surprise for you too.
Brianna: a surprise for me?
You nodded
Karla: and for us??
You laughed
You: I already gave you guys your surprise! I took you guys out of school early to go get ice cream and go to the park.
Karla: awwww man. I wanted another surprise
You guys arrived at your house and walked in to find balloons and confetti all over the house. It was all nicely decorated.
You: what the-
The entire team jumped out from behind the staircase.
Everyone: SURPRISE!!
You: oh my god!
Dad: we wanted to throw you a little goodbye party.
You: awwww. Thank you! The house looks so good.
Jorge: well we tried. It's not the best but it's not the worst.
You laughed
You: no you guys did a good job really.
You hugged them all. Memos kids ran to their room upstairs looking for Diego. While you presented Brianna.
You: oh uh this is my best friend Brianna.
Dad: ahhh I remember you!
He shook her hand and she laughed
Brianna: how are you Mr.Lozano?
Dad: I'm doing very good Brianna.
The team introduced themselves
Dad: Come let's eat some dessert.
He led all of you guys to the dinner table where there was a big cake.
You: oh god. I just came back from eating ice cream. I'm too full.
Alexis: noo como que nos vas a dejar queriendo pastel
You: ha no you guys go ahead.
Without thinking twice they cut the cake serving eachother a slice, including Brianna.
Memo: te vamos a extrañar un montón.
Kevin: yeah y/n. We all got pretty used to having you around.
You: me van hacer llorar.
They all laughed.
You: you guys are always welcome to come visit me you know?
Kevin:  I might just take you up on that. I've been needing a vacation. Aver cuando me deja agarrar unas el jefe.
He pointed to your dad
Dad: uy no en tus sueños Álvarez. We have a lot of things to get done around here.
You all laughed. You guys continued talking and enjoyed your last few hours together. After a while memos kids came down from upstairs.
Memo: where were you guys?
Guille: upstairs. Donde esta diego?
Memo: sabe.
Dad: he left with his mom. He said he would be back very late.
Guille groaned
Guille: I wanted to tell him about my soccer game coming up.
You: well it's almost 6:30pm. I should be making my way to the airport. I have to be there pretty early.
Kevin: nooo espérate un rato.
You: I wish I could. But I have to be there early to check in and everything. Andddd because Brianna is coming along with me.
Brianna: WHAT!
You: yup surprise!! I convinced my manager to let you come along with me. So you'll be staying in France with me for as long as you'd like.
Brianna: ARE YOU SERIOUS?
You: YES!
She gave you a big hug and all the guys smiled at the two of you.
Brianna: but- I haven't packed!
You: it's fine! We can go shopping back in France.
Brianna: are you sure?
You: yes! Don't worry about a thing. All I want is for you to come with me and live the experience.
Brianna: TE QUIERO
She kissed your cheek not letting go of you.
Kevin: I can drive you guys to the airport.
Dad: yo tambien.
The entire team wanted to go as well
Dad: no nada mas Kevin y yo. Para que hacer un escándalo. Everyone is going to recognize us.
They all agreed that it was best if they stayed.
You: alright. We're set then.
Dad: pero espérate un rato no?
You: for what?
Dad: I invited Joao but he's not here. Maybe he's running late?
You: YOU DID WHAT?
