Brianna: hopefully it's not something serious
You: serious? In what way? I'm sure they'll just want me to get off birth control to see if there's any changes. I have no problem doing it since I'm not sexually active.
Brianna: yeah well I was referring to something else. Have you thought about that?
You gave her a confused look
You: thought about what?
Brianna: what if you're pregnant.
You: absolutely not. That can't be.
Brianna: there's a possibility you know!
You: pfffft no. I haven't had sex in months! And this issue just started. So it's a no.
Brianna: sure the bloating just started but you said your period hasn't come in months. What other explanation for that is there?
You: Brianna. I'm not pregnant. I would've known if I was by now. I don't have any symptoms at all.
Brianna: it wouldn't hurt to get a pregnancy test just to be sure.
You: that's stupid. I'm not taking one because I'm not pregnant.
Brianna: when was the last time you did it?
You: that doesn't concern you.
Brianna: why are you so stubborn? It's just a simple thought.
You: yeah well I prefer you keep those thoughts to yourself. I don't need to add more stress onto myself with everything going on. I don't even want to think about what I would do if I turned out to be pregnant.
Brianna: why would you stress out. You said there's no possibility you could be pregnant. Hmm? So why would it worry you?
She said sarcastically to which you groaned
You: okay fine! Yes. I've thought about the possibility of me expecting a child.
Brianna: and? What do you think?
You: I don't want to have a kid.
Brianna: what!? But- huh? You were so excited to have one with Diego and plan your future!
You: that's in the past. Who wants kids anyway.
Brianna: y/n!
You: what? I'm being honest! My career is better than ever and having a child would just stop me from accomplishing so many things! And it would bring along SOOO many problems.
Brianna: you sound a lot like the female version of Diego right now
You: don't compare me to him!
Brianna: a kid is a wonderful gift y/n.
You rolled your eyes
Brianna: besides, wouldn't you want to finally form your own family? You're not going to stay single forever right?
You: no, but now is not the time.
Brianna: I'm just saying. You're at such a perfect age to finally form a family with Diego.
You: it's not that simple.
Brianna: and why not? What's so complicated about forming a family?
You: it's not necessarily that. It's more of the position I'm in right now. And what could possibly come along with that.
Brianna: what do you mean?
You: Nevermind it doesn't matter
Brianna: y/nnnnn
You: it's nothing!
Brianna: Y/N LOZANO!
You sighed
You: if I were to hypothetically be pregnant I wouldn't know who the father of the baby would be
Brianna's eyes widened as those words came out of your mouth
Brianna: WHAT!?
You: well I gotta get going. I have a practice run today and I can't be late. I'll be back later.
You said as you grabbed your purse
Brianna: uh uh wait! Finish explaining! What do you mean you wouldn't know who the father would be? Diego would have to be the father....right?
You: mmmm not exactly
Brianna: huh? Who else could be the father Joao?
You: Brianna I really gotta goooo. I'll explain later!
Brianna: no! Explain now!
You: I had sex with both Diego and Joao
Brianna: how far apart?
You: .....on the same day
Brianna: WHAT!?
You: I'll see you later! I gotta go!
You walked out in a rush
Brianna: y/n! Get back here!!

You were sitting down in the waiting room impatiently waiting for the doctor to call your name. Your thoughts were eating you up.
Doctor: y/n Lozano?
You: right here
You stood up immediately and she gestured you to follow her into a room. There she asked you a couple questions regarding your health.
Doctor: okay, and are you sexually active?
You: no
Doctor: when was the last time you were sexually active?
You: 3 months ago
Doctor: and were you on birth control at the time?
You: yes
Doctor: okay well first we're going to start by getting you a pregnancy test and then get you off birth control. So we'll be able to see the changes your body presents as it adapts to being off the control
You: a pregnancy test? Why is that necessary?
Doctor: well being on birth control doesn't always protect you. There have been times when women have been on it and have still gotten pregnant. It's not always efficient.
You groaned
Doctor: I'll be right back.
She left and you couldn't help but stress out.

The doctor came back with a small cup and handed it to you.
Doctor: please step into the bathroom and sample some urine so I can send it to the laboratory.
You did as she said and then handed her the cup afterwards which she sent to get tested. Afterwards she completed the procedure and got you back to being unprotected against sex.

Doctor: the lab will give you a call later today with your results. And your next appointment will be next month to see how you're doing.

You were having a dinner with your manager to talk more about your projects and the runway show. She was mentioning how she had some offerings for projects in Mexico if you'd like to go back to being close to your family.
You: I'd love that but I prefer to stay in France for now. I want to continue the projects here. Perhaps in the future I'll consider going back go Mexico.
The truth is that didn't want to reconnect with Diego. You had finally started living in peace without any problems or drama.
Manager: that's fine, I completely understand.
Just then your phone started ringing and you automatically knew it was the lab calling.
You: excuse me I have to take this
Manager: go ahead
You stood up and walked over near the bathrooms to get some privacy.
You: hello.
Lab tech: afternoon, is this Ms lozano?
You: yes it is
Lab tech: wonderful. I have the results here with me from the pregnancy test that was conducted. There's a lot of noise in the background. Is now a good time to call? Or should I return the call later?
You: sorry I'm at a restaurant. But now is a good time.
Lab tech: okay, so your test appears to have come back positive.
You: positive? Positive for what? Not being pregnant?
Lab tech: no. Positive for being pregnant.
You felt your heart drop.
Lab tech: Congratulations! You are 13 weeks pregnant! I have already arranged your first check up, which your doctor will contact you about. Any questions?
You: no.
Lab tech: wonderful! Have a great rest of your day and again congrats.
You shut your phone off and immediately held onto the wall as you felt light headed. A server saw and walked over to you.
Server: do you feel alright ma'am? Shall I get you some water?
You nodded as the server walked you over to a an empty table. Your manager saw what was going on and immediately ran over to you.
Manager: y/n? What's wrong? Are you all right? You're sweating!
Your manager started fanning you with a menu to cool you off a bit as the server brought you a water
You: my head. It's spinning.
Manager: what? What's going on?
You felt your vision getting blurry and your body light. Then suddenly everything went black.
