Kevin: yeah, they had a pretty intense conversation. Your dad even threatened to kick him off the team.
You: WHAT?
Kevin: it was a pretty stupid conversation in my opinion. I mean, your dad acts like you're still a child. As if you can't make your own decisions for yourself.
You: I'm not understanding anything! What were they arguing about?
Kevin: you!
You: me?
Kevin: yes. Diego was decided to come for you and take you back to MX. So you guys could finally be happy but your dad stopped him. He was talking about how Diego has hurt you too many times and that he's a bad influence and that you don't love him. And well obviously Diego started arguing and going back and fourth and that's when your dad forbid him to come.
You: he was going to come for me?
Kevin: he's so lost without you. I really thought you guys were gonna make it this time.
You stayed quiet
Brianna: I TOLD YOU Y/N! YOU AND DIEGO ARE MEANT TO BE!
Kevin: I think you should AT LEAST call him. He would really need that right now.
You: Kevin I'm not sure...
Kevin: okay answer me this
You nodded
Kevin: does he make you happy?
You sighed
You: of course he does!
Kevin: there you go. See if he makes you happy then you don't need anything else. Y/n he's willing to have a family with you. He's ready.
You: but my career it's-
Kevin: do you love him enough to let go of your career and have a family? Because he's willing to stop playing soccer to be with you and your guys's child.
You: he is?
Kevin: yes. Y/n I had talk with him because he's really not doing well. He's been drinking a lot. And I don't want to blame you but it is kinda your fault. You left him without a solid explanation.
You: what explanation was there to give? He was going to have a kid with Stephanie!! I had to back away to give that kid a father.
Kevin: yeah not anymore though.
You: I don't know.
Brianna: give it a shot!
Kevin: you gotta talk to him y/n, for real. Who cares what your dad thinks?
You sighed
You: fine I'll call him
Kevin: good. he's gonna be really happy to hear you and know that you still care
You: I'll have to call him later though
Kevin: what? Why?
Then the door swung open and your dad walked inside.
Dad: lista?
You: for?
Dad: well we want to take you out to eat to celebrate!
You: oh yeah Im almost done.
Brianna: we'll leave you to change
She took Kevin's hand and walked out along with your dad

You finished getting ready and grabbed your purse. You grabbed your phone from inside and searched for your last message with Diego. You decided to listen to Kevin and communicate with Diego so you unblocked him.
*knock*
Dad: ya?
You: si
You shut your phone off shoving it back into your purse and walking out.

On the way out Joao and his friends were waiting for you.
Joao: y/n!!
You turned to look his way and waved. You really didn't want to talk to him so you continued walking alongside everyone.

Pedri and Gavi chuckled as you practically ignored Joao.
Pedri: she's SOOOO into you bro
Gavi: for sure!
Joao: y/n!
He yelled out again but you were too far ahead to hear him. Joao groaned and did a quick sprint to catch up to you

You surprisingly turned to see Joao beside you.
You: oh, hey?
Joao: how are you?
You: good, you?
Joao: eh alright
You nodded
Joao: uh sorry to just come up to you like that I know it's probably weird
You: oh it's okay
Joao: I was just wondering if you were busy tonight? Maybe we could go eat?
You: I'll have to see. I'm actually going to go eat with my family right now. But I'll let you know?
Joao: oh, yeah. If not another day too?
You: sure.
Joao: great! I'll text you!
You smiled before he stepped aside and you continued walking

You were having such a fun time at dinner with everyone. For once you had a break from your stressful life. You had forgotten about all your problems.
Chucky: y para cuando te regresas a México hermanita? Te extrañamos mucho! El bebé está empezando a querer caminar!
You: awww how old is your baby now? Almost a year no?
Chucky nodded
You: I'm thinking about going back very soon. A couple of weeks maybe?
Brianna turned to look at you surprised
Kevin: Que? Enserio?
Dad: para que?
Everyone including you went silent and turned to face your dad
You: como que para que? Obviously to spend time with all of you.
Dad: no no. I think it's best you stay here. Away from distractions. You're doing so good mija. You're thriving here.
You: distractions?
Dad: yeah you know what I mean
You: no I don't actually. Would you mind explaining what you're referring to? Or should I say WHO you're referring to?
Your dad turned to look at you with a confused look and furrowed brows
You: no don't even give me that look. I know you're referring to Diego. What is your big deal with him? Would it hurt you THAT much if I told you I want to be with him? That he makes me happy? Why is it SO hard for you to comprehend??
Dad: I'm not having this conversation here in front of everyone y/n. You know what I think about him and you know what my answer is. 
I don't want to hear anything else about this situation. End of discussion okay?
Everyone sat uncomfortably quiet for the rest of the dinner. You said your goodbyes to everyone except your dad because you were still furious about the talk you guys had. You went home by yourself since Brianna wanted go spend more time with Kevin.

When you got home it was pretty late so you began prepping for bed. Just as you were about to lay down your started feeling nauseous. You ran to the bathroom and quickly dropped to the ground hurling over the toilet. You threw up continuously.
You: I hate this so much

You: I've gotta get to the bottom of this whole pregnancy thing. I can't do this by myself.
You sat in bed staring at Diego's contact.
You: fuck it
You clicked the phone icon and lifted the phone up to you ear. The phone rang and rang but no answer. You called again and sighed.
You: he's not gonna answer
The phone stopped ringing and you heard a woman on the other end. His mom.
Mary: y/n?
You: Hola Mary!
Mary: cómo estás?
She sounded super worried and out of breath
You: se encuentra bien? La escucho preocupada.
Mary: si! Todo bien.
You: segura?
She sighed
Mary: no la verdad no. Es que Diego-
She stopped mid sentence and sniffled.
You: porque llora? que tiene Diego? Algo le pasó?
Mary: está muy mal. No deja de tomar y ahorita no sabemos dónde está. No se llevó su teléfono y no nos dijo a donde iba ni con quien. No sabemos nada de el desde hace 3 días.
You felt your heart drop
You: que??
Mary: y/n el te necesita.
You didn't know what to say
Mary: ven a México, lo que más desea Diego es tenerte aquí con el. Ayúdanos a que vuelva a ser el Diego que era antes. Ven por favor.
