Jungkook would be lying to himself if he didn't think y/n looked amazing in the dress she was wearing. The material clung to her body like a second skin and left her legs exposed, making it hard for him to not hold anything but disdain towards her. He wouldn't go as far to say he hates y/n, but the feelings of dislike were mutual. He blames it entirely on y/n though. Their first encounter had been y/n pounding on his apartment door one night.

He opened it, wondering if it were the police, but was faced with a disgruntled woman wearing striped, blue and white pajamas adorned with strawberries. He almost chuckled upon seeing her, but the scowl that had coated her features had warned him otherwise.

"Do you even realize what time it is?" The woman demands, her voice tired and angry.

Jungkook cocks a brow at the woman, wondering if she was only getting started with her unsolicited rant.

"It's almost 2AM and yet you're stomping around up here. What could you possibly be doing that requires you to practically tap-dance on my ceiling?" She demands, earning an amused smirk to cross Jungkook's face.

In all honesty, Jungkook had been laser-focused on his computer screen that he hadn't realized he was bouncing his leg. Sometimes he bounces his leg when deep in concentration, the notion creating loud thumps that often vibrate on the floor. He hadn't had any complaints from his last apartment, but he figures it was due to it being more structurally sound. His current apartment building was quite...run down. Though its location was quite convenient for him, it was still more of a headache in terms of quality, but he couldn't complain due to its cheap rent.

"If you don't mind, keep it down up here." She adds with a huff before storming away, leaving Jungkook to stare in amused fascination.

The immature and more petty side of him wanted to continue bouncing his leg, but decided not to in the end.

He hadn't realized how much of a pain in the ass his downstairs neighbor was until he could vaguely hear her music blasting the next afternoon. Jungkook worked through the night and reserved daylight hours for sleep. However, he wasn't getting any sleep due to the loud bass of whatever racket she was playing below him. It shook the walls, almost vibrating the floorboards of his room. He grumbled into his pillow before deciding to confront her. The result of said confrontation had the two sharing some choice words followed by a door slamming in his face. Since then, the two have been at odds with one another. It was a good thing neither of them really ran into one another since he was sure they'd verbally brawl rather than exchange pleasantries.

"Thanks for the jacket." Y/n–something Jungkook just found out moments ago–says in a soft tone, grounding him back into the moment.

He shrugs his shoulders in response. "We'll most likely be here for hours if it's flooding out there."

The animosity they had comfortably shared was slowly shifting into awkwardness. Jungkook wasn't usually a prick. In fact, most would call him a nice guy, but y/n knew how to extract his petty side. She was a constant pinprick of annoyance that it surprised the hell out of him to extend an ounce of kindness in her direction. He wasn't sure what compelled him to do that, but the way she defeatedly sat on the ground, in that dress, made him sympathetic...well at least a little.
