There's a loud guttural groan coming from the large warehouse that Namjoon had texted Yoongi to be at. It was a couple weeks after their phone conversation to which Yoongi had half expected that there was no way he'd hear from Namjoon at all. Then, as if by some miracle, he received a text from him.
Unknown number: I'm tossing this phone after you read this message. Meet me at Incheon Port. Back of the shipping containers you'll see a warehouse. Be there by 2300.
There's no going back now. Yoongi thinks to himself as he approaches the ajar warehouse door.
There's another loud crack that sounds from inside, reminiscent of a blunt object hitting flesh that causes Yoongi to wince. When he finally enters the place, he takes in the scene, a chill running down his spine.
Before him stood Namjoon holding a bat, accompanied by two other men with Miho bound to a metal chair in the center of the place. His head hung low, eyes covered with some kind of black material, as spots of blood coated his clothes. Yoongi swallows the lum in his throat. He's known what Namjoon had got himself into shortly after they parted ways, amicably of course, but still, seeing it in person leaves a bitter taste in his mouth.
Namjon glances up and spares Yoongi a dimpled smile. "There you are. For a second, I thought you wouldn't show up."
"I said I wanted to be...present when you delivered your form of justice." Yoongi replies evenly, making an effort to keep the waver from appearing in his tone.
Namjoon chuckles as hoists the bat to rest on his shoulder. "Not your scene, huh?"
"Not particularly."
"Don't worry, we're just teaching this piece of shit a life lesson." Namjoon assures him, sparing a wink for added effect.
Yoongi slowly approaches the scene, making sure to not be too close in fear that he'd have traces of evidence splattered on him. He had told Y/n that he'd be out late due to a work conference in another city. It was a partial truth since he was in Busan for most of the day, but the conference had got out well before 8PM, allowing him enough time to wrestle with his thoughts about tonight and get there.
"I don't want the guy to die." Yoongi says, a little ridiculous to voice out his concern for Miho, but he doesn't want to commit a first-degree felony.
Namjoon waves him off. "Murder isn't my specialty. However, Jk here has been known to be quite daring in that department." He nods to one of the other men standing beside him, who offers a nod of acknowledgement toward Yoongi. "The guy has a real talent for it."
Yoongi merely swallows the lump in his throat, refusing to comment on the matter. Namjoon leans close to a sobbing Miho, the man blubbering about how he can give them anything they want—money, cars, and everything in between.
