Spring in Paris...
Tae felt like nothing compared to the beauty of watching Paris being lit up at night. However, Tae is pretty sure that the way y/n is snuggled against his chest, her cheeks red from the chill in the air, could put the Paris skyline to shame.
The two had just finished eating dinner at the Girafe, a quaint restaurant situated across the Eiffel Tower. Their candlelit dinner was spent enjoying a few glasses of wine as y/n outlined their plans for the next day. He's grown to enjoy that y/n defaults to being the designated planner whenever they spend time together, preferring to take charge in order to make the best use of their time. It was something he found quite endearing.
They had arrived in Paris the night before, but from the exhaustion that came with their travels, Tae and y/n hadn't left the hotel room, opting to start early the next day. Considering that this wasn't y/n's first time in Paris, she decided to use the morning to take Tae through the nearby streets of their hotel, browsing through the gift shops for him to purchase souvenirs.
When it neared the afternoon, y/n took him to his first broadway show–a matinee showing of Moulin Rouge. Despite Tae not being fluent in French, he loved every minute of it. He recalls seeing the movie before, so he wasn't completely lost when it came to understanding what was going on.
"You seem to be all smiles tonight." Y/n comments, breaking through his thoughts.
Tae breathes out a laugh. "It's just surreal." He replies before adding, "I dreamt of visiting Paris, but never thought it would actually happen."
Y/n sighs in content. "I'm glad you planned this." She says while pulling away from his chest to look up at his face.
Tae leans down to place a quick kiss on her nose, earning a soft giggle from her in response.
"I'm being serious. After a few hellish weeks of work, it feels nice to have an escape." She comments as her giggling dials down.
Tae nods his head in agreement. "I heard the springtime in Paris was beautiful, but I hadn't expected it to be this cold." He mutters while wrapping his arms tighter around y/n's waist.
Snuggling closer, y/n says brightly, "It's not too bad. It gives me an excuse to hold onto you."
Tae bites back a smile, his words caught in his throat. If heaven was real, he was certain it'd be the warmth he feels whenever he holds y/n.
"Wanna walk along the Seine?" She asks.
Tae smiles down at y/n before nodding his head. He pays for the bill before walking hand in hand with y/n. It takes a little longer than expected to reach the riverside, not that Tae's complaining since the evening was beautiful. The skies were free of clouds, allowing some stars to glitter against the darkened sky.
The night is perfect. Tae thinks contently to himself. Glancing down at y/n, he feels his chest floating, as if it were also languidly coasting down the river.
