The weeks that pass by are quick and you find yourself spending a lot of that time with Jin. He was just around despite the two of you leading fairly demanding work schedules. A few of those times were spent at your apartment with Jin cooking for you or grabbing a few drinks after a long day of work. It was purely a platonic relationship, for the most part. Albeit, there were a few times the two of you fell asleep on the couch together.

You couldn't quite label your relationship yet, at least not accurately. Sure, you have a few guy friends, but the dynamic with Jin is different. It felt more intimate despite lacking the physical qualities that usually come with a romantic relationship. The two of you often spoke about the shows you watch together or analyze certain books you've been reading, which honestly, hasn't been a lot. However, you spend a lot of time eating out together.

You've come to find that Jin likes food and is always searching for new and exciting restaurants to eat at. He has a knack for finding the best tasting food that you hadn't realized just how lacking your palette was in comparison to his. You wondered if working at KS Enterprise was really the job for him. He doesn't strike you as the business type. In fact, his personality seemed better fitted as a food critic.

Jin never really said much about his work and instead veered the conversation to focus on you; your passions, aspirations, goals, likes, dislikes. You answered his questions to the best of your ability, revealing a copious amount of personal information, but it never felt like he was intruding on any of this. It was quite endearing to have someone be so invested with you, but it felt off, at least a little.

Anytime you asked Jin about himself, his answers were vague. At first you thought he was a private guy, but the more time you spent together, you couldn't help but take notice how little you knew about him.

You couldn't help but have alarms going off in your head whenever Jin would evade a question about himself. You knew that people were allowed their privacy, but as the two of you grew closer, you were hoping he'd feel comfortable opening up to you. You didn't expect him to confide his deepest, darkest secrets with you, but some hint of his past would have sufficed. He continued to remain a mystery despite being a fairly open book when it came to observing real-time emotions and reactions.

It was Saturday evening and the weather was anything but kind, forcing the night's plans to cancel due to whipping winds and pouring rain from the fall season. Originally, you were supposed to meet up with some friends.

It was a long overdue girls night out, but the weather seemed to insist on being uncooperative. Instead, your friends reschedule girls' night to a different weekend in the future, one that you hope could attend as long as your workload doesn't increase.

Your plans quickly changed from a night out in the city to a glass of wine, a book that's been sitting on your shelf for months, and putting on a mellow record to set the ambience, all of which would not feel complete unless you were snuggled in a blanket. You were just about ready to crack open your book when you heard a knock coming from the front door. You weren't expecting anyone, but you got up to check anyway.
