*Friday Night*
"You're so cold like winter." Y/n slurs as she wobbly stands before Yoongi. "But I love the cold. During the winter there's snow and you can have hot chocolate and wear big coats and build snowmen."
Yoongi stared at the drunken girl before him, a worried and endearing expression coating his face. He had followed y/n out of the restaurant since she had stupidly decided to walk home by herself. It was a poor attempt on y/n's part since she could barely take two steps without nearly tripping over her own feet. Yoongi had debated to just leave her to figure things out for herself, but his conscience wouldn't have any of that.
A lot of his employees had wandered off to a noraebang, opting to liven the night with more drinking and singing. Yoongi was not a fan and chose to part ways with them, and incidentally, so did y/n. Her walking was, at best, haphazardly okay. But as she swayed with each step, Yoongi felt the urge to hold onto her elbow to help steady her pace.
"And there's Christmas!" Y/n gushes like a child.
She's staring at nothing in particular as Yoongi continues to listen in silence, enjoying how inhibited she is in her tipsy state. It was quite entertaining for him to witness. He's seen y/n in a cheery state, but this side of her, the one that spoke freely to him rather than politely, was different. It's like he was catching a glimpse of y/n's true self, a side she doesn't display so easily during work hours.
"My family has a tradition that on the night of the first snowfall, we have to eat sundubu-jjigae. Have you eaten that?" She asks, finally acknowledging Yoongi's presence, but doesn't give him ample time for a response. "Of course you don't." She giggles. "You seem like the type who eats fine cuisine." She continues to snicker to herself.
There's a playfulness in her voice that makes Yoongi smile. He's not one who spares a smile as easily as others, but found her innocent ramblings amusing.
"I bet you dine at fine restaurants often." Y/n continues, another giggle bubbling past her lips. She's not wrong, but Yoongi isn't a complete snob. In fact, he fares well in the kitchen and often cooks himself meals when time allows it.
He was very aware that she was not in control of her words, but he couldn't help but feel moved by what she was saying about him. It stirs some discomfort in him, but mostly, surprisingly, warmth.
"You're like–like, a cold front you know?" She absently says while walking. "At first it's like...abrasive and you want to hide from it." Y/n belches before composing herself to continue speaking.
"But–but then you get snuggled in a blanket and remember that cold fronts can be comforting, you know." Y/n giggles at that last part.
Yoongi cocks a brow at his intoxicated secretary. He was certain that if she knew what she was saying to him, an apology would fall from her lips. Yoongi was debating on whether he was gonna call for a cab and just send y/n on her way, but since she was fairly drunk, it filled him with unease to put her in the care of a total stranger.
